Feeling proud and lucky this week to have been named 1E Business Development Rep of the year. While it’s great to be recognized, it’s even better to recognize those who got you there. I appreciate the support of my teammates - Samuel Villarreal , Amy Lockhart , and Chase Smith here in the US along with Carter Zielinski who keeps me on my toes, and the incredible encouragement from sales leadership including Matt Anderson , Shon Turner , and Rick Conover

I was so honored today to be awarded a 2024 Utah Business Executive Excellence Award.
For anyone that has experienced it in their career, you know... as you have the opportunity move higher in an organization, your dependency on your leaders grows at a massively accelerated rate. There is NO WAY that I would have received this recognition today if it wasn't for those leaders on my team. Folks like Matt Mecham, Michael Christensen, Christopher Meyers, Mohammed Aaser, Shawn Stinson and Richard Eddy. Thank you all for everything you do every single day for me and the overall success of Domo.
Two of our leaders, Adel Strauss and Anthony DeGraw, presented on the topic of "Practical Applications of Artificial Intelligence" at Encore Consumer Capital's 2024 Leadership Conference in Chicago this week.
Artificial Intelligence is a technology every organization should understand:
- What is AI?
- How do I use it in my organization?
- What do I need to understand from a legal and compliance standpoint?
If you are interested in having Integris present on the topic of AI, reach out to us!

In sales, in leadership, it’s about others every single time. It’s about having the upmost level of integrity to provide a service or product to someone without them ever regretting their purchase and time spent working with you.
Great night last night at the TechSec Leadership: Dallas Networking Evening event facilitated by Kodi Connect LLC.
We did some great networking with great people from companies around the DFW Metroplex area.
Shout out to the vendors and presenter for a great job!
The presentations by, and discussion with, the vendors present at the event were valuable. The discussions highlighted the growing threats and growing solutions in the Cybersecurity space as the bad guys use new technologies and methods to accomplish their goals.
At the same time, it exposed the great work done in the security space to help make our world safer. The work continues and new solutions are becoming available.
One of the thoughts that kept coming back up in my mind is the role humans play in keeping things safe or not. Awareness goes a long way.
As we wrap up Cybersecurity Awareness Month I would urge everyone to keep the awareness up. Both in your personal life and business environments. This awareness month should carry through and become part of daily life. Be diligent, don’t relax, and keep in mind this is true: A little awareness goes a long way to avoid trouble later.

How do you stay connected with area professionals?
"I stay connected with area professionals by utilizing a mix of networking events, online platforms like LinkedIn, and my participation on the Leadership Sarasota Council and Leadership Alumni Committee. I also engage in industry-specific associations, attend professional development programs, and foster relationships through informal meetings and community involvement to build a strong network of connections."
What was the most impactful part about the Leadership Sarasota program?
"The most impactful part of the program was getting to go behind the scenes and learning about how all of the different segments of the business community come together to advance the Sarasota community. This helped me to get a better understanding of how I can help to contribute to our community’s growth and prosperity by getting more involved."
What’s the best piece of professional advice you have been given?
"Solve a problem or go away. We are either helping people achieve their goals or solve their problems. That’s the mentality we need to have when we are conducting business."
How do you celebrate your wins?
When I worked at Indeed a few colleagues and I would share our wins every Friday. It was a great way to reflect on the positive moments.
Stress can easily get in the way of clouding our thoughts and not letting us see all of the light around us.
Every week there are ups and downs in our careers: clients that are challenging, a manager who is demanding, a presentation that seems daunting to finish, goals that seem impossible to achieve.
You have to take a moment to reflect and see that every week you're slowly chipping away at what you want. Despite the noise.
What were you wins this week?
An incredible way to mark 7 years with an incredible company.
And with that, here are my 7 reasons of why I stay in love with Flexport:
1. I get to work with insanely smart, talented, diverse and fun people.
2. There's an unrelenting opportunity to learn every single day.
3. Growth is synonymous with Flexport, a testament to our relentless pursuit of progress and excellence.
4. We've only just begun; with best-in-class tech and AI in its infancy, the future is unimaginably exciting.
5. We partner with visionary customers who choose us because they share our vision for the future of logistics.
6. We play the long game, dive deep, and operate with humility.
7. We get to build every day—careers, processes, partnerships, customer relations. Each of us believes in the mission: to make global trade so easy there is more of it.
P.S. I am hiring for Account Executives in the UK & Benelux. If you are early into your supply chain sales career and any 1 of the 7 is appealing to you, then please get in touch
What a week in Madrid! Hosting our first Flexport European Senior Leadership summit in our newest market was an incredible experience 🇪🇸 . We dove deep into AI productivity opportunities and brainstormed ways to enhance our service for European customers. And of course, we found plenty of time for fun — never difficult with this awesome group 😎
Having Ryan Petersen and Sanne Manders with us was a highlight, and our conversations about the future left me more optimistic than ever. I remain humbled to be part of such an amazing team.

The balance of community/devrel and sales is always tricky...

It is all about pipeline, data, relationships, and iteration.
