🚀 LATEST FUNDING/M&A IN CYBERSECURITY 🚀 Kicking off with what was probably the biggest announcement last week... LogRhythm and Exabeam announced their intent to merge | LogRyhythm has been majority-owned by private equity firm Thoma Bravo since 2018 and it’s likely Thoma Bravo is behind the merger. Exabeam had raised $390 million in venture capital funding, including a round of $200 million on a $2.4 billion valuation in June 2021. So far, Thoma Bravo are leading the charge on the consolidation front this year it seems... Bleach Cyber | Techstars ‘23 secures $2m in pre-Seed Funding | Bleach Cyber, a cybersecurity company, has secured $2 million in pre-Seed funding. The round included participation from investors Everywhere Ventures , The Fund Austin, Rain Tree Roots Capital, BlueWing Capital, Concept Ventures, and others.   Monitaur secues $6m in Series A Funding | Monitaur, an AI-driven risk intelligence and governance platform provider, has secured $6 million in Series A funding. The round was led by investor Cultivation Capital, with participation from Techstars, Rockmont Partners, and others.   NuLink Network secures $11.3m in Additional Funding | NuLink, a data privacy solution provider, has secured $11.3 million in additional funding. The round was led by investors DWF Labs, Poolz, and ViaBTC Capital.   IBM sells QRadar SaaS assets to Palo Alto Networks | IBM acquired QRadar, an on-premises SIEM, from Q1 Labs in 2011. The companies also announced Wednesday that, as part of this expanded partnership, Palo Alto Networks will become IBM's preferred cybersecurity partner for internal security products and services. The two companies said they will establish a joint security operations center that offers managed SOC services to customers. 🚀 LATEST FUNDING/M&A IN CYBERSECURITY 🚀 Bugcrowd secured $102m in funding | This strategic growth funding comes from General Catalyst, Rally Ventures, and Costanoa Ventures. Founded in 2012, Bugcrowd has now raised almost $180.6m, their last round was their Series D ($30m) in 2020; Bugcrowd specialize in bug bounty, pen testing, & vulnerability disclosure, and the new investment will be used to accelerate growth, to continue enhancing its crowdsourced security platform, and for strategic M&A opportunities. Security Compass, a provider of enterprise DevSecOps software solutions, backed by FTV Capital buys Kontra from ThriveDX. The acquisition marks a pivotal step forward in Security Compass’s ongoing mission to empower businesses with application security solutions. Seal Security, a cybersecurity company with a focus on open-source vulnerabilities, has secured $7.4 million in Seed funding. The round was led by investor Vertex Ventures Israel, with participation from Cyber Security Club London , Crew Capital, and others. Scrut Automation, a risk-focused compliance automation platform provider, has secured $9 million in Series A funding. Investors included Lightspeed Partners , MassMutual Ventures, and Endiya Partners.Founded in 2020, Scrut streamlines numerous labor-intensive compliance tasks through integration with cloud and SaaS tools. Armis, a asset intelligence cybersecurity company, today announced it has agreed to acquire CTCI (Cyber Threat Cognitive Intelligence), a privately held company specializing in AI-powered pre-attack threat hunting technology. Armis will integrate CTCI's technology into Armis Centrix™ to create the most advanced early warning cyber intelligence system in the world, helping security operations teams be more effective in preventing breaches, detecting attacks and determining if an organization has been compromised. IPSecure Brand protection, a buy box brand protection company, has secured an undisclosed amount in additional seed funding from investor Manhattan Venture Partners. KYND, a cyber risk management solution provider, has secured an undisclosed sum of additional funding. The round saw participation from investors Verisk and BGF.
