Homeschool Flex: This is a normal weekday breakfast. Our kiddos get nourished in two ways: 1. Eggs, bacon, and biscuits (not pictured) is generally a better way to start the day than a quick Poptart (Cinnamon Brown Sugar are the best…I’ll fight anyone on this point). 2. All 6 of us get to sit together and have conversation, talk about the day ahead, and reflect on the Lord’s creation as we look out the windows…instead of screaming at each other as we rush to get ready for the bus. Not every morning looks like this. Sometimes it’s a bowl of cereal. But 96% of the time we’re all eating together in the morning. I know it’s not possible for everyone… But what I’m saying is that…maybe it is actually possible for most people with a little sacrifice.

I love this. And, I’m going to give a little bit of perspective. As a single mom without the option of homeschooling, except when it was mandated during lockdowns, we still have breakfast together sometimes. I plan the night before and get it ready so it just needs to be warmed up and it’s then about the quality of the time. Does it take some sacrifice? Yes, absolutely. Is it possible in almost any situation to still have some level of this? Also, yes.

It is possible by most, but it does require a lot of sacrifice. But I'll say, it's the best sacrifice I've ever paid.

You are KILLING me smalls! I love every part of this.... Afton Lambson - can you imagine?

20 years ago I was adamantly against homeschool. I felt it was the job of the parents to ensure education was done correctly with support from teachers at school. Not anymore. I applaud you for taking control and making sure your children are educated correctly. There’s no school like the old school!! Thank you for sharing.

When we transitioned from public school to homeschool years ago, one of my wife’s favorite changes was losing that chaotic hour before school and the frantic homework to dinner transition after school.

What Time is Breakfast? Is Fruit on the Menu? I was going with Frosted Strawberry, Raspberry or Smorres Pop Tarts, but Best is the Beauty that is in the Mouth of the Pop Tart Holder. A Variety pack is in order,I as I do like Brown Sugar & Cinnamon, just not usually together I hate eggs, but love Chicken. Not starting a debate about which came first. Bacon & Biscuits sounds great, but no gravy for me. Add some Avocado & OJ & I am in. What Time does Schools start?

Excellent nutrition is vital for growing children. We do the same. It has a huge impact on their educational performance and mood.
