We were proud to host Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette yesterday and are thankful for her hard work and leadership in promoting manufacturing jobs and technical education in the great State of South Carolina!
She challenged us, and others in our industry, to continue opening our doors and investing in the training of recent graduates from our technical schools. Our mentorship program with Greenville County Schools is a small example of a successful partnership that can be duplicated throughout our state to help South Carolina grow the most developed and most desirable manufacturing workforce in our country!
A special thanks to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) for their support and continued advocacy for our industry!

I enjoyed meeting with Calder Brothers Corporation leadership and touring their facility in Taylors yesterday.
I enjoyed hearing their unique story of going after the American dream together — growing this company into a thriving business.
I also loved to hear how they are promoting internships and apprenticeships — specifically their participation in the Greenville County Schools mentoring program for female welders. #AimHigherSC
