Here are my thoughts on how contractors can prepare for conversations with homeowners and businesses about the transition to A2L equipment 👇 💸 Be Upfront With the Cost of Change Everyone is pinching pennies right now, so a lot of homeowners are opting to repair rather than replace. BUT, with the new A2L equipment comes with an estimated 15-20% price jump, so putting it off a replacement for even another six months is going to be cost prohibitive. 🛠 Be Clear About Safety Position yourself as the expert when you put customer fears to rest when you talk about the dangers and safety precautions with A2L equipment. Ensure your team has been properly trained on the required handling of A2L refrigerants so they can address all concerns homeowners and businesses may have. 💡 Have a Plan The equipment transition will be staggered as current R410a units sell down and new A2L enters the distribution stream, so make sure your team is trained in advance and have the tools and marketing resources to hit the ground running. At Johnstone Supply, we created johnstonesupply.com/A2L as a one-stop resource for everything you need to prepare! Find the tools you need, the resources for specifics on regulations, and check with your local store for A2L certification training.

Attention, maintenance technicians! Don't miss out on the EPA 608 Certificate Review and Exam, presented by Travis Fowler of Century HVAC Distributing. In this seminar, you'll learn everything you need to know about the Federal Clean Air Act, Section 608, and proper refrigerant handling techniques. Remember, the EPA restricts the sale of regulated refrigerants to certified technicians only, so don't risk losing your certification and facing hefty fines. Date: October 17 Time: 9 am - 4 pm Location: AAA To register, visit https://lnkd.in/g5gjb6gb The price of the course includes the study materials. Registrations will be sent weekly to Century HVAC so that your study guide may be delivered to your property the following week. It is recommended that you study your materials for at least two weeks before the exam. Please register asap to allow ample time to receive your materials so that you can study in advance. #EPA608Certificate #Maintenancetechnicians #HVAC #RefrigerantHandling #CleanAirAct #Certification #EPA

Save electricity and cost saving on AC and heating units and Trading of greenhouse gas emission materials in the refrigerant sector and refrigerant conversion/rertrofitting
"Safety regulations for working with compressed gas" Refrigerant materials currently circulating on the market can be grouped into 2 parts, namely 1. flammable refrigerant materials, and 2. non-flammable refrigerant materials. Everything is a pressurized gas packaged in a tube. Based on safety regulations, when working with pressurized gas, whether the gas is flammable or non-flammable, one of them is not to smoke while working. The related work activities are not permitted while smoking, and the refrigerant used is flammable, including: 1. When to fill the refrigerant material, whether into the cooling machine unit system, or when filling it into the tube. 2. Time to carry out inspection and maintenance work on the cooling machine unit system. 3. Time to carry out repair work on the engine cooling system unit. 4. Time to carry out the process of arranging storage of quite a lot of refrigerant cylinders. 5. When carrying out the process of removing refrigerant material from the cooling machine system unit, and the refrigerant material does not include greenhouse gas emissions. Prioritize safety at work. #r290
