Why I started Iterate Africa 💡
Two of the most challenging stages of my career was navigating the workplace as a junior employee and stepping up into a leadership position. I noticed this wasn't just my struggle—it was a common theme among my team and colleagues.
There are basic skills you need to succeed at work and in life, like knowing yourself, managing your emotions, communicating effectively, and listening to others. These skills aren't usually taught in school or modelled by members of our families.
Alongside the absence of growth in these fundamental skills, I discovered a notable lack of mentorship and coaching opportunities for junior employees. After being exposed to mentorship, coaching and development programs later on in my career, I realised that these are opportunities and experiences that should be provided earlier on in a persons career.
I have guided and developed young digital marketing professionals for over a decade and I am passionate about empowering them with these skills.
I started Iterate Africa, to equip young marketing professionals with the knowledge, skills and support they need to thrive early on in their personal and professional lives.
At Iterate Africa, I don't offer just another online program focused solely on workplace skills. Instead, I equip you with life skills, soft skills and in addition a few foundational hard skills required in todays digital workplace.
