Energy demand/consumption projections toward 2050s have focused largely around the introduction of an electrified transportation fleet, but have left out the demand for power around AI/data centers. Software engineers looking to work in the post-AI electrified world should check out the job opportunities at Grid Status. In a short period, they have become the defacto way to share about energy prices and demand patterns.
In the last 18 months, Grid Status has grown from 0 to thousands of active users. We've gotten a lot done as a small team, but it's time to grow the team! So, we just put up our first two job postings ever: 1. Senior Software Engineer: https://lnkd.in/g-HwQ_Sa 2. Head of Business Development: https://lnkd.in/gvHu2RtY No experience in the energy industry is necessary—just a strong eagerness to learn. Our team's passion and expertise will help you quickly get up to speed. If making an impact on the future of the energy industry excites you, you’ll fit right in. If we’ve worked together in the past or you have a referral, please reach out and share! Visit our job postings page to learn more: https://lnkd.in/gHiSyv_f

How Amy Miller Searches For Keywords on Your Resume: As I probably told y'all, I'm hiring two Production Supervisors for our Space Simulation lab. We're hiring for both 1st and 2nd shift. I thought I'd take this opportunity to remind y'all we're still hiring AND walk through how we might use a "keyword search" in our ATS. Semi-related fun fact: LinkedIn thinks I only got 8 applicants to this role. I got 78. Now how could that possibly... never mind. I tried to tell ya last week 😋 So as we're looking at all these applicants, we're honing in on these specific areas: - 4+ years’ experience in Clean Room Manufacturing environment. - 4+ years’ experience of supervisory experience. - 4+ years’ experience in Environmental Test. - 8+ Experience manufacturing in high traceability environment Either I or my team will review your resume and look for data that shows experience in these areas. Now personally I like to eyeball them in the order received. I have other colleagues who prefer to run a search against them. The keywords I want to see are going to be - Clean room Manufacturing Environmental test high traceability That's it. Those are the keywords. I plucked them straight out of the Basic Qualifications section of our job description. Now for extra credit (if I had hundreds or thousands of applicants) I might throw in Halt/Hass, maybe TVAC, thermal, vibration testing. Those keywords would come from our PREFERRED qualifications list. Fun fact about all these words? They're front and center in the job description. They're what the HM asked for. Of course I want to SEE those words on your resume, but I also want CONTEXT of how you've used these skills. Ideally we see some cool accomplishments that showcase this expertise of yours. THAT is the secret to getting us to send your resume to the hiring manager for further review. Check out the job posting for yourself - Rena would love to hear from you! https://lnkd.in/g5QpvKmc (Artist interpretation of KuiperSat-1 and KuiperSat-2 in orbit - it's me. I'm the artist 🤣 )

How they search for keywords in your resume find the best fit for their jobs. In my two decades of recruiting, when screening resumes I would use two monitors; one with the resume, the other with the job description (JD). I would then search the resume for keywords and phrases from the JD to make sure they align. Narrow my search read resumes thoroughly select the best resumes for candidates to interview. Many recruiters employ a similar process. -------------------- Read this post from my friend Amy Miller as she demonstrates how she searches for keywords in resumes.
