User testing and UX research are essential to our design process. They provide insights into user behavior, reveal user needs and pain points, and test the validity of designers' assumptions in real-world scenarios. This process, when embedded into the product development life cycle, can significantly increase the likelihood of a product's success. Using early prototypes of the ROAM design (an obstacle-detecting device for the visually impaired), we worked with Goodwill Finger Lakes and D3 Engineering to refine the object detection distances, vibration feedback, and add useful features to the case design. Our teams worked through 10 iterations of electronics and case design with these users to land on an intuitive final design. Your end user is at the heart of everything we do. Why I think understanding user needs and goals in the discovery process of UX design is crucial: What you gain: ⭐️ Higher user satisfaction, intuitive and enjoyable user experience It is particularly important when working on internal work tools. When users discover that a product actually HELPS them, they are more likely to use it and not create DIY workarounds. ⭐️ Smooth development with fewer iterations, saving you time and money with fewer revisions. Concerns addressed: ❓ Wishful thinking User satisfaction isn't wishful thinking! Even if users can't always express their needs clearly, a well-guided discovery process uncovers both explicit and implicit needs. ❓ Balancing costs and time Yes, discovery takes effort, but the payoff is huge. Investing time initially prevents costly revisions down the road, making it a smart move for the long haul. Anything to add? #UXdesign #userneeds

In the world of UX design, there's a saying: "Watch what users do, not what they say." While user surveys and interviews provide insights, it's through keen observation that designers uncover the real, unspoken needs. Imagine designing a car based solely on drivers' wish lists- now compare that to watching them drive and spotting the subtle gestures and routines that reveal what they truly require. By prioritizing observation over just asking, we tap into the genuine user experience, crafting products that not only meet expectations but delightfully exceed them. UI/UX Designer | Specialist in User Experience and Interface Design, user research, and usability testing
To redesign a product, different levels of design thinking must be followed. Therefore, we understand that in this design. However, the white space is not observed enough, also based on the opinion of the first designer about the lack of imbalance in the desired rhythm. The number of blocks that attract the user's attention is 23, so the user's attention should be drawn to fewer blocks to increase the usability and learning of the product for the user. This user interaction will increase user satisfaction. ------->SEE THE APPLIED CHANGES IN THE NEXT POST #ui_ux_principles #rythm #empathy #userinteraction #drawing_attention #UserSatisfaction #webdesign #uxui
