As Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr once said, "Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses." This quote is a reminder that perspective is everything, especially when it comes to the pursuit of knowledge. The pursuit of knowledge is a journey that requires dedication, curiosity, and most importantly, open-mindedness. It is the tool we use to navigate through life and make informed decisions, both personally and professionally. As the saying goes, knowledge is power. The only people who achieve much are those who want knowledge so badly that they seek it even when conditions are unfavorable. Favorable conditions never come. We must always be willing to push ourselves outside of our comfort zones to continue learning and growing. For me, knowledge is the power to sustain and survive among the wisest people in the world. That's why I highly recommend checking out the videos from the Leaders Conclave on Times Ascent. It's an excellent resource for anyone looking to expand their knowledge and learn from some of the best in their respective fields. Let's continue to embrace the pursuit of knowledge and all the opportunities it brings. It's a shame that some companies play dirty politics and unfair games with their most loyal and honest employees. These money-driven companies fail to value and understand the same. We need to change this narrative and strive for a more equitable workplace where knowledge and hard work are rewarded.

Helping leaders create and implement strategies and structures to reduce daily dependence on them in their businesses-Business Planning Consultant with 20 years’ experience
Less is more. The best solutions are the most elegant and simple. They are the ones that people look at and think, “oh, that’s so easy I could have done that!” They are the ones that make people think they were obvious in the prior foresight. They are the ones that seem like any goof would see. They are the ones we should strive for. I spent a lot of time as a young executive “explaining” things in great detail. I’m not sure I’m any better today. But I’m increasingly striving for a less is more style…simple (and hopefully elegant!). We all should. I started my career at 23 as the top exec of a 60 year old organization. This post is part of my weekly series of advice to my younger self. Every day I help business owners & leaders work ON rather than in their businesses. For more of the advice I give them, follow me @caesolves
