Shipping live animals takes a special touch 🦁🦁🦁 Three lions in a South Korean Zoo were suffering, and a global rescue effort was needed. This is where DSV stepped in to orchestrate a complex operation with precision and care. The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado, called on DSV to collect three lions from a zoo in South Korea where they were suffering from poor treatment. The journey included a flight from Seoul, South Korea to Los Angeles, followed by a long truck journey to their new home in a 15-acre enclosure at the sanctuary. Overcoming permit issues, flight changes, and logistical rearrangements, DSV's teams in the USA and Korea showcased their dedication. DSV was praised for growing proficiency in critical logistics aspects and expressed a preference for future collaborations. The lions, now in their new sanctuary, experienced a journey free of complaints. The Wild Animal Sanctuary's vital work, supported by DSV, continues to save large carnivores from abusive situations, providing them a life of peace and comfort. It's unconscionable that profit continues to be prioritized over the well-being of sentient beings. Additionally, governments must prioritize environmental awareness and the rights of non-human animals, recognizing their inherent value and right to live free from suffering.Promoting alternative protein sources, such as plant-based options, is not only ethical but also essential for mitigating the immense suffering endured by millions of animals every year.
