R U OK? It’s our national day of action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, ‘Are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation whenever they spot the signs that someone, they care about might be struggling with life. You don’t need to be an expert to have an R U OK? conversation. Listening and giving someone your time might be just what they need to help them through. #RUOKDay #Haneco #Lighting #Australia #Ideasthatshine

Proud to help forward thinking people and organisations define their purpose and bring it to life. Bringing my diverse experience to help you avoid pitfalls, make the most of each opportunity and thrive.
‘Mummy gets paid for #talking to people’. The words of my youngest daughter as a 5 years old when asked by her teacher what her parents do for a living. She was right, though I’d like to think there’s a bit more to it than just talking. I do like talking to people, all people. One of the reasons that today I am doing a shift for Weston-super-Mare Town Council being a mobile information centre for visitors to the this less well known seaside town. To help me with I’ve been checking out what’s on this weekend. ⭐ An #Elvis and Dolly Parton tribute night, there are times when we’re awash with Elvises….(is that the plural) when the town hosts conventions to support this musical giant. ⭐ A weekend of nostalgia at the #Helicopter Museum, did you know there was once an airbase here? ⭐ Arts and crafts workshops at the Town Museum. ⭐ And a weekend of #Blokarting competitions along the very flat beach, weather permitting of course. I do love their strapline ‘Who dares grins’ If you are out and about this morning and spot me, believe me I’ll be pretty obvious in my bright blue shirt with dayglow green jacket, please say hi. Why do I do this? Good question. Because there is nothing quite like hearing what people have to say about how they feel about stuff, even a day out at the seaside. Listening, really #listening, provides the #feedback for improving what’s already here and supporting a thriving #economy for the future. Right, time to get more steps in. Now, where did I put my walking shoes?

If your family is a real 'mixed bag' of characters, navigating holiday events can sometimes can be challenging, but there are ways to ensure a harmonious gathering for all involved: 💙 Approach conversations with an open mind and a willingness to listen to differing opinions. Respectful dialogue can lead to better understanding, even if you don't agree. 💙 Make the decision not to comment on what other family members are choosing to eat, or not eat, at the event. 💙 If tensions arise during family gatherings, don't be afraid to take a break or change the subject to diffuse the situation. 💙 Remember that it's okay to agree to disagree and that relationships with your family are more important than winning an argument. By approaching family holiday events with patience, empathy, and a willingness to compromise, you can strengthen your connections to the people in your life (or, at the very least, avoid conflict over a family meal!) . . . #CormackRecruitment #CormackRecruitmentAndHR #connection #familytime #familyevent #familydinner #conflictresolution #easter #easterweekend #springtime #mothersday #fathersday #family #dysfunctional #bonding #peace #yougotthis #compassion #inlaws #monsterinlaw #mixedbag #boundaries #communication #canada #canadian #victoria #delta #edmonton #winnipeg #hamilton

I built a business but had no business. I'm proud to report that things have changed. Our first corporate volunteer field trip was a success, and I'm thrilled to share the experience. A team of 31 volunteers and a host and videographer, joined me at the Japanese Garden at the VA in Los Angeles. This tranquil space is designed for military veterans, for mindfulness and solace. Our task was to build a bamboo fence surrounding the koi pond, ensuring the safety and tranquility of all visitors, along with beautifying the entire property. The day was planned to a T, from transportation to the prepped construction materials and drinks and snacks to keep the volunteers comfortable. The best part was witnessing our volunteers come together, working as a cohesive team, sharing laughter, and forming lasting bonds. They put aside their phones and work responsibilities, embracing the spirit of giving back and getting sweaty and dirty for a few hours. I'm immensely proud of what b goodly has become and excited about the positive impact we're creating in our community. The one-minute video is a glimpse of our impactful day, beautifully captured by Kai Johnson. Thank you, Jeff Shaivitz, for feeling comfortable in introducing me to your HR team, and Jeff Johnson, for introducing me to your talented and professional son, Kai. If you know folx in Los Angeles looking for a day of volunteering and team bonding, b goodly is as easy as just getting on the bus. https://lnkd.in/gbrv9Rb4 #bgoodly #CommunityImpact #Volunteering #LosAngeles #Veterans #Mindfulness #CorporateSocialResponsibility #employeeengagement #corporatevolunteer #employeeconnectivity #corporateevents #teamwork #teambuilding #teambonding #offsite #returntooffice
