We at The Gatehouse are proud to share a milestone that speaks volumes about our commitment to supporting families: over 15,000 hours of childcare provided to date. This achievement is more than just a number; it represents countless moments of learning, growth, and exploration for the children in our care. Childcare is a crucial component of our program, ensuring that while parents work towards rebuilding their lives, their children are in a nurturing, engaging environment. Hearing the stories from our program graduates reinforces the importance of our work. Providing childcare not only offers peace of mind to parents but also plays a pivotal role in the holistic development of their children. These young minds are given the opportunity to connect with their community, discover new interests, and flourish in a safe and supportive setting. We believe in the power of collaboration to bring about meaningful change. That's why we invite organizations to partner with us in this journey of transforming lives. Your partnership can help us extend our reach and enhance our impact. If your organization is looking to make a difference, learn more about how to partner with us: https://lnkd.in/gEZX8F6m. Together, we can continue to provide vital support to those rebuilding their lives and futures. #CorporatePartnerships #CorporateSocialResponsibility

One of our favourite highlights from our first episode with Lucy Lewin in conversation with Priscilla Ebedseir. While we're delivering childcare for the children, profit is the fuel to improve that service - it's not something we shouldn't strive for. What are your thoughts on her perspective, do you think the word profit is seen as a profanity in the early years sector? 🤔 #earlyyears #EYFS #childcareprovider

CELA and Community Childcare Association have created a Federal Budget plan to ensure every child can benefit from high quality education and care, no matter where they live or how much their parents earn. This includes: ✔️ a government funded 25% pay increase to educators and teachers through multi-employer bargaining ✔️ creating new small and community managed services where they are needed most ✔️ ensuring all children can access quality early education and care ✔️ funding inclusion support services that reflect what’s actually needed by children and families. We know small and community managed providers will be central to delivering the full benefits of the Federal Government’s early education reforms for children and families. We are raising our members’ issues with decision makers in the lead up to the 2024 Federal Budget, particularly on strengthening support for educators, supply side funding, inclusion and expanding community-led services. Half of local authorities are 'childcare deserts' where there are three or more children for every childcare place. And it's the most deprived local authorities that have have the least opportunities for children to access early education. The system is designed so it excludes families on the lowest incomes. We need a new approach to ensure everyone children across the country get access to the early education they need. Find out more in our new blog. https://lnkd.in/ehQ6kfQv
