Diversity in volunteers also means diversity in ideas, perspectives, and skillsets, making it a great strength for any organisation. But getting people of all backgrounds through the door doesn’t always mean they have a seat at the table. That’s where inclusion comes in. At The Centre, we believe in fostering inclusivity and diversity, and we can help you do the same. This is what happens when we come together, so proud of our member firms who sponsored and marched in pride! In this fast-paced world, it's easy to feel like we're just small cogs in a massive machine, each of us focusing on our individual tasks and goals. However, when we come together as a community, we realise the extraordinary power we hold to make a difference. Community is more than just a group of individuals people living in the same area or working in the same office. It's a network of individuals who support each other, share common goals, and strive to create a better environment for everyone. Whether it's within a neighbourhood, a workplace, or a global movement, the essence of community lies in the collective efforts and the willingness to step up when it matters most. When colleagues and peers unite, the impact is profound. Consider a workplace where everyone is dedicated not only to their roles but also to the well-being of their peers. When we collaborate, share ideas, and support each other, we create a culture of innovation and positivity. This collaborative spirit can lead to remarkable achievements, from successful projects to a harmonious work environment where everyone feels valued. Stepping up can take many forms. It could be as simple as offering a helping hand to a coworker overwhelmed with their tasks, organising a community cleanup, or spearheading a charity drive. Each act of kindness, no matter how small, contributes to a ripple effect, inspiring others to follow suit and fostering a stronger, more connected community. One powerful example of community in action is seen in volunteer initiatives. When colleagues volunteer together InterInvest LGBT+ equality and inclusion pride they not only contribute to a worthy cause but also strengthen their bonds. These experiences create lasting memories and a sense of shared purpose, reminding us that we are part of something larger than ourselves. A shining example of community spirit can be witnessed in our pride event in London. This event is more than just a celebration; it is a powerful demonstration of solidarity and support for the LGBTQ+ community. At Pride, individuals from all walks of life come together to celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity, and stand up for equality. The sense of unity and collective effort at Pride London 2024 serves as a reminder of the profound impact we can have when we join forces. It’s a testament to the power of community in fostering a society where everyone is valued and respected. The true strength of a community lies in its ability to come together and make a difference. When colleagues join forces, the results can be transformative. By stepping up and supporting one another, we create a positive impact that extends beyond our immediate surroundings, ultimately contributing to a better world for all. So, let's embrace the spirit of community, step up, and make a difference together. Sign up at www.interinvest.org

🚨💪🏾 EEOC Launches New Outreach Initiative-Today the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) launched the REACH initiative: “Enhancing OutREACH to Vulnerable Workers and Underserved Communities,” a new, multi-year effort led by Commissioner Kalpana Kotagal. The initiative focuses on ensuring EEOC’s outreach and education efforts are effectively reaching workers who often are the least likely to seek the agency’s assistance, despite their great need. More info: https://lnkd.in/efRGQF9r The REACH initiative will: 💪🏾Hold in-person and virtual listening sessions with a broad range of stakeholders in different areas around the country to examine how the EEOC can bolster its efforts to reach vulnerable and underserved communities by identifying existing barriers to reporting discrimination and soliciting recommendations on how to serve these populations better. 💪🏾Review and evaluate existing research and recommendations on effective outreach strategies, tools, and methods to inform the work of the initiative. 💪🏾Identify best practices for reaching vulnerable and underserved communities and consider how to develop an increased presence in rural areas and areas far from physical EEOC office locations. 💪🏾Develop recommendations to present to the EEOC Chair for enhancing outreach efforts. #EEOC #REACH #businessdevelopment #governmentcontracting #smallbusinesses #businessowners #founders #nonprofits #entrepreneurs #sbe #dbe #mbe #wbe #lbe #mwbe #wosb #edwosb #veteranowned #womanowned #supplierdiversity #minorityowned #wealth #lgbtq #smallbusinessresources #smallbiz #grants #startups #disabledowned #funding
