Your super enthusiastic speaker, author, researcher, experimenter, and studier of all things engagement. Turning association and community leaders into CEOs (Chief Experience Officers, that is!)
Years ago, when we used to pay in coins (or tokens) at toll booths, I once pulled up to learn from the toll-taker that someone before me had paid for me. It was only 25 cents, but for me, it was thrilling. Sometime later, I gave the toll booth operator a bunch of extra tokens and paid for the people coming in behind me. That was thrilling too. Nowadays, with the invention of EZPass and the like, paying it forward at the toll booth doesn’t work, so sometimes you hear about people buying each other coffees. But these little kindnesses don’t have to cost anything, and we can do them anytime, anywhere, AND they are super engaging for the recipient (and maybe the giver too). Check out this week’s article. #ElevatingEngagement #EngagementStrategies #Engagement https://lnkd.in/e6jYm-SK

Brace for bad cracker joke impact. Pull on this… it’s your chance to get your hands on some of the 24 amazing gifts and prizes that are stuffed behind this year’s Allotment Advent. Start your December with a BANG by subscribing to the Advent and get a window delivered every day into your inbox until Christmas Eve. Behind each one is a gift or a chance to win an amazing prize from a whole range of brilliant small businesses that have been in the Allotment this year. I can guarantee it will be more exciting than one of those irritating wire puzzles that is only solvable with industrial pliers, more useful than an oversized paper clip and significantly more valuable than a tiny yoyo made for fingers roughly a quarter of the circumference of yours. It’s cracking fun and you really should take advantage of the quite frankly ludicrous generosity of the businesses taking part – the crowning glory is that there are over £7,000 of gifts and prizes. No joke. https://lnkd.in/e2iKh4rv

Founder/Director at Red Card Gambling Support Project C.I.C/ Education Facilitator/Published Author/Public Speaker/Member of Gambling Commission Interim EBE Panel.
Waving a RED CARD For All The Right Reasons! I’ve been fairly social media silent for a few weeks. 🏝️ I’ve NOT been on Love Island! 👑 I’ve NOT been to Corsica with the Made in Chelsea crew! 🏠 And no, I’m NOT about to enter the Big Brother house 🏠 🗣️ However, I HAVE been walking (well driving), the ‘talk’! The Red Card Gambling Support Project C.I.C Roadshow! 🟥 I’ve been doing what I do best! In-person workshops and events that enable me to tell my story to help prevent others from making the same mistakes and errors of judgment. 🟥 And there’s no half-measures, I’m open and honest. Brutally honest at times. But you can’t sugarcoat addiction… unless you’re addicted to sugar of course! 🟥 It’s super-important for me to connect with young people and their families, and the funded workshops that I deliver help me do just that. 🟥 Connecting with councils and communities enables me to share my story and wave a RED CARD - for all the right reasons! Ghostwriter for the risk takers - helping founders with brand awareness and lead generation. + I write: bridging the gap between self-sabotage to solopreneurship - Get Over Yourself!
In 4 years I learnt these 4 lessons: Survived X and X - i'll get sued if I tell you Overcome X2 redundancies Achieved contentment Running a cartel All of these things have taught me megawatts and tons about what matters in life, and what doesn’t. These are my new 4 rules for life: 1. Shit will happen. You're not in control of anything. - Bad weather and inflation. - Redundancies to bad rap music. - Its up to you how you deal with it. - Its up to you to turn up. - Its up to you always. Shit happens... 2. You're going to die. Life happens so quick. You're born cute or ugly. You kind of become cute. Then puberty hits and bang. You're 40. - That's what happened to me (exactly like that) - You, check your ego (I swear - like a flash) - You, accept life (Its all gone) Chill out! 3. Sing your best song/no regrets. Reach your potential? Here, i'll go first: - I want to create stuff - I want to help people with stuff - I want to have more money & time The magic is combining all 3! Join my newsletter for more content like this... 4. Engineer alone time/company Be alone a little. Be with others more. Do the opposite to what you have. Appreciate what you have and don't have. That's ya big 4! Bonus: 1. Smile to strangers more. 2. Talk to strangers more. 3. Opinions are... -- -- -- I lied about the cartel. Make the now count. Get Over Yourself!

Hey everyone! This week we’re working on improving Wins! Our users add wins to their goals to keep track of what they’ve done, and to celebrate themselves! We think it’s a shame that they can only add them to goals, so we’ll be making it that they can be added to dreams too. Or if you just want to celebrate a win, you’ll be able to add it without a goal or a dream! And to make sure you get the most celebration possible, we’re going to make it so that you can share a win with your friends on social media. Your data is private by default, so when you share a win we will make a difficult to guess link that you can share with friends. People will need the link to access it. And if you ever change your mind you’ll be able to stop sharing a win whenever you want. If you want to find out what else we’ve got planned, or make your own suggestion you can do so on our roadmap. https://cammi.canny.io
