We also shared thoughts on the causes of #burnout and ways of #copping and #selfsupport. We also discussed the importance of employee #engagement in the workplace, as well as possible strategies for achieving this #goal. We talked about the significance of diversity and inclusion management #DEIB in the company, particularly in light of changing employee requirements and expectations. Additionally, we discussed the use of technology and #automation in HR processes and how it might change the role of HR professionals in the future. It was interesting to connect with the Belgian HR community last Wednesday at the 19th edition of the Vlerick HR Day in Ghent, with more than 700 HR professionals in attendance. For the last 25 years, and in several organizations and capacities where I had the chance to work, I have considered that the mission of an Advisor, is not only to advise the Top Management or His Excellency the Minister, but to speak to people inside the organization. Therefore , I usually go and talk with their HR department and people. And I tell them that helping people at work is a vital responsibility that brings a positive and productive environment, where people feel valued and heard. Please HR teams, please provide clear communication and regular feedback from people and this helps to clarify expectations and guide improvement. Always offer extra mentoring to empower employees to grow, not only their skills and advance their career, but there mental health and social life. Recognize and celebrate achievements also boosts morale and encourages continued effort. By being approachable and empathetic, HR can build trust and facilitate open dialogue, making it easier to address any challenges or conflicts that arise.
