3 things that made my life super easy and less chaotic... Let’s get into it: ️🎗️ Prioritizing People’s needs first: - When you prioritize helping others, life becomes smoother. - It creates strong bonds and a supportive network that make challenges easier to handle. ️🎗️ Prioritize health over Income: - I have made this mistake of ignoring health and chasing money, it costs me a hell lot of things. - With time I realized that without good health, it's hard to enjoy success. ️🎗️ Engage in Inner Development (Mind, Soul, and Body): - Nurturing my inner self has been vital. - Whether through meditation, learning, or hobbies, investing in personal growth has brought clarity, peace, and resilience in facing life's challenges. By focusing on these three pillars, I can say that, my life is way more organized, less chaotic and it doesn’t include unnecessary drama. Obviously, I didn’t understand the value of it overnight. I made many mistakes before getting such clarity. Now it’s your time to learn from my mistakes and understand what’s important to you. P. S. LAST #Mondaymindset OF THE YEAR ‼️(for me, at least) ~ Reflection. Allowing myself to take a breath and visualize what I’ve accomplished this year. Not alone, but with the tremendous #support and #advocacy of other along the way. Oh, and plenty of long nights…don’t get it twisted, there were PLENTY of those. ~ 2023 tested me. But 2024’s gonna have to do better to slow this train down😤 (I encourage you all to adopt that #mindset as well! Confident, not cocky. There’s a difference). 1. I moved 2 times in 9 weeks, from Towson to Baltimore to New Orleans⚜️✈️ What did I learn?➡️You can create the life you want, without sacrificing professionally. One doesn’t need to come at the sacrifice of the other. 2. I accepted the #challenge of pursuing 2 career moves, from Last Mile Delivery back to my second stint managing Kenvue Hair & Body Care on Amazon. (Shoutout my STELLAR team Myron Odum Pamela Sturgis Rachel Mills Gunnar Spruit) What did I learn?➡️You are capable of far more…FAR MORE. Live in that chaos. Live in the uncomfortable unknown. Work the late nights. Early mornings. Refuse any less than you envision for yourself. Stare a new adventure down, embrace the obstacles, and knock ‘em down…1…by…1.💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 3. I #madetime for my loved ones. Uninterrupted time. Travel. Dinners. Coffe. FaceTime. Reconnect and #revitalize. What did I learn?➡️Nothing, and I mean nothing, is more important than your mental health. Also, #empowering your team to take the time, no matter how long, they need away from work is also vital. "In the process of reflection, one makes discoveries about the self and the world that are often as surprising as they are illuminating." Mark Epstein A wonderful quote to begin this week’s focus on the power of reflection. How we can, through reflection, discover things about ourselves, about others, about the world, that we might not otherwise have done without taking the time to do this. Reflection is about pausing, having a moment or more, to truly reflect on our experiences, actions, thoughts, feelings, behaviours. Uncovering layers of ourselves, going beyond the surface - finding out what our beliefs, desires, motivations, triggers, fears and so much more actually are. By doing this we also gain insights into the world within which we live. By having a better understanding of who we are, we are more able to be compassionate and kinder to others. Reflection, with the clarity it brings,  helps us to be more intentional with making decisions about our actions moving forward. Helping us to perhaps make wiser choices, more in line with our values and beliefs. Providing us with the ability to become healthier, happier humans. Living more fulfilling and successful lives. Cognitive Overload: I'm curious to learn from you 🧠, please share a few words with your own solution or thoughts. 🙏 It's been over a month since we greeted the new year with aspirations and reflections, particularly — in my case — about our relationship with time. In my New Year's message, I shared thoughts on the preciousness of time and our collective desire to balance our bustling lives with moments of rest, connection, and fulfillment. As we've navigated the first weeks of 2024, the conversations and feedback have highlighted a shared challenge: managing cognitive overload in the quest to make the most of our time. Despite intentions set, the complexity of our daily routines, excessive amount of choices often leaves us feeling just as rushed and overwhelmed as before, if not more. Using product terms - How many "generations" of best friends do you have? 🤝 I have 6 "gens" from different times or how we met - Junior High, High School, College, Work, Special Needs, and Neighborhood. Each knows a different period of my life and maybe a different version or keeping in product terms "variant" of me as I have grown.
