Yesterday, I turned 45. It had me reflecting on this last trip around the sun and what has unfolded in just 365 days. Here are my top 4 highlights from my 44th year as I figured 44 may be overkill 😜 👇 👧 My husband and I got approved to adopt and we gained a daughter 👩💼 My back office team grew by 4 people ❌ I took 5 full weeks off work and offline completely, thanks to my amazing team 📈 SalesClosers launched 2 x brand new sales outsourcing services in response to market needs Sometimes it's so easy to get stuck in the day-to-day and forget to take a step back to review the bigger picture and appreciate how much we've actually achieved. So... if you haven't done that in a while (or ever) ... take this as your sign ✨ #grateful #businessgrowth #salesoutsourcing

Our product team is growing and we couldn't be more excited to welcome Abby K.! ⚙️ Job Title: Software Engineer 💡 What inspired you to join Treet? I love working at companies with a strong mission and ethos! Retail is an industry that I think hasn’t seen a lot of technological transformation. There are so many interesting products that Treet could build that could really change the way waste is thought about in the industry. 👀 Brands you want to see on Treet: My dream brand on Treet would be Outdoor Voices: I love their Rectrek pants for hiking, exercise, and hanging out! I also cook a lot, and I love buying kitchen items secondhand. I would love to see my favorite kitchen brands like STAUB, Le Creuset, and Material Kitchen on Treet. 📦 What are you most excited about this upcoming year at Treet? I am really excited to see how we build out more return and trade-in functionality for brands. I think that is such a core part of the waste in retail, and I think that Treet can build some really powerful features for brands to manage their returns better. --- Interested in joining our team and working with Abby? Recently, I had an almost 3-hour long conversation with a potential new team member at Beanstalk Real Estate Solutions. It was not just an interview, it was a journey through their life, their experiences, and their aspirations. It reminded me of the importance of listening and putting others first. In today's fast-paced business world, it's easy to "dial it in" and overlook the important details. We've become a "cut & paste" society, where individuality often gets lost in the shuffle. But not here at Beanstalk. We believe that the devil is in the details. We take the time to get to know someone, to ask questions, to understand "their story". Because every story matters. Whether we're managing a commercial property, securing tenants that meet a building or client's requirements, or handling sales or purchases of either commercial or residential properties, we make our clients' mission, vision, and story the priority. At Beanstalk, we tailor our services to those we serve and represent. No one is "just a client". They are THE client. Because in the end, it's the people that make the difference. And we're here to make that difference count. #ClientFirst #DetailsMatter #MakingADifference

Chief Strategist | Helping Executives manage change in their organizations, while building more human-centric cultures
Have you checked in with your sellers recently? If not, consider this your reminder. As we approach ‘the holiday season’, end of year, and the never-ending dark that settles over many cities. (ahem, Seattle…) Check in with your sellers. Ask about their workloads, what deals they are working on, what their vacation plans are, how their dog is doing. Things are tough for many right now. Lean on empowering and supporting sales teams. Give them the tools they need to close business and cut out the noise. Burnout is real, and can literally kill your sales productivity. Check in with your sellers. #shieldthefield

This week's theme... Pairs. Why?... Some pairings this week are more obvious from the pic than others. What's clear, is that relationships between people (two or more) can generate more than the sum of their parts. Here are a few examples in action: 🍐 Storeforce & talent 🍐 Spark Community Space & Portsmouth Business Exchange 🍐 Retail success & finding out about the customer 🍐 Talking & listening 🍐 CLEAR® & your purpose 🍐 Obstacles & Solutions 🍐 Compost & banking Ok, you may have to check out some of my earlier posts to make sense of some of those - but you get the idea! In the photo, I've tagged awesome people I spent time with this week. LinkedIn genuinely won't let me list them all in the post, there are far too many. There's another 'pairing' going on next week. If you know - you know 😉 ➡️ But I'll end with a challenge to my colleagues at Storeforce UK - THIS image is how I start MY weekly review, by celebrating what's been great in my week. And doing it makes it easy to get going with the full weekly review. I look forward to seeing yours! ⬅️ Have a fab weekend everyone - whatever you're doing. Enjoy the pears. #review #celebrate #teams #pairs #pears #relationships #success

Hey there, LinkedIn community! 👋 I'm Veronica M., Partner Account Manager over at Exclaimer, coming at you from sunny Miami, FL. I've been with this fantastic team for 4 years and counting. You might be wondering, what does a Partner Account Manager do? 🤔 Well, I work closely with our distributors across North & South America, providing them with training and information to position our solutions effectively. My role also involves attending distribution events to promote our Exclaimer solutions, which is always exciting. And the best part? Watching our team successfully launch our distributors—it's such a rewarding experience. I spend a lot of my time working with Pax8, Ingram Micro, intY, a ScanSource Company, and GCN Group. What makes Exclaimer special for me? It's all about the people and culture. From day one, I was welcomed with open arms. Whenever I need help, there's always someone ready to lend a hand. And I like to pay it forward by helping anyone who comes to me. I work alongside some incredible folks, including our SVP Robert Gavin, Head of Distribution Shawn Berry, Amy I., Gabriel Odey, Courtney Miller, Ximena Sintes and Jose Manuel Villar Serpa, who supports me on the marketing side. When I'm not juggling tasks at Exclaimer, you can find me reading, jogging, drawing, watching movies, or spending time with my little one at parks and kiddie parties. I'm also a self-proclaimed foodie—I love trying out new restaurants and cooking up unique recipes. So, if you've got a killer recipe, send it my way! Fun fact about me—I studied architecture for a few years before making the switch to the tech industry about a decade ago. So, if you ever need some random facts about buildings and structures, I'm your gal! 😄 Before I sign off, I want to share a couple of my favorite quotes: “A goal without a plan is just a wish” and “Every cloud has a silver lining.” I find these words inspiring, especially in challenging times. Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me. Let's connect! #ExclaimerTakeover

When I shared my story last month of being laid off by Google in February, what I didn’t add was that my partner (working for another tech company) was similarly impacted a few months earlier, in November 2022. This week, Linkedin & Qualcomm just announced another wave of job cuts :( It boggles my mind that almost 12 months later, companies would still be running layoff exercises. What should be the exception is starting to feel like the norm. My heart goes out to those impacted by the loss of roles, and equally so for those who remain after enduring the anxiety of wondering where that ax will land. 🐻 ❤️ I recently watched a recording of a fire-side chat with Laszlo Bock, the former Senior Vice President of People Operations at Google (2006-16), and wanted to call to attention for those who find themselves navigating these challenging times. For those interested, you can catch the Full Video below - starting min 8:08 - 12:22. The key takeaways are summarised below and I hope they’ll be a source of some comfort for those who find themselves on this journey. 1. Feel the Feels: First things first, give yourself permission to feel. It's perfectly normal to not be okay during a layoff. Emotions can range from anger to sadness and everything in between. Processing these feelings is a crucial part of the healing. 2. It's Not Personal: While it might not soothe your heart, remember that rationally layoffs aren't a reflection of your character or even your contributions. It's a decision made for business reasons, like increasing earnings, and often done through a spreadsheet. It’s not about what you’re worth. 3. Forgive in Time: Forgiveness won’t come immediately, but somewhere down the line, consider it. Forgiving the people and entities involved can lift a heavy weight off your heart. Personally, I’m still working through this...though I feel like I'm nearly there! Having taken the last few months to process this change, I’m now ready to support others who need a holding hand. Inspired by my Coach - Vu Lam who did this for me a few months ago, and to pay it forward, I’m opening up 10 coaching slots to those impacted by a layoff in the last 12 months - free of charge! If this is you, email me at lierwong@coachingpolarity.com or dm via linkedin linkedin.com/in/lierwong OR feel free to share this post with someone who needs this. #Coaching #Layoffs #layoff #transition #Google #CoachingPolarity
