Today was a fun break from the normal day to day grind. We brought in all of our foreman and superintendents to review operations and safety! This group has lead their crews through the first half of 2024 without injury! To celebrate we handed out cooling towels with the Valcourt safety logo to help bring attention to heat stress prevention.

We launch our Q2 Theme ‘Preventing Personal Injuries’ with a reminder that we are a member-led organisation working together to prevent harm to our frontline workers. To do this, it is important that we understand hazards at site, the harm they can cause us, and how we can control them to prevent injuries to ourselves and colleagues. In our Q2 Theme ‘Preventing Personal Injuries’ portal, we have collated resources to help our Member Companies to: - Enhance awareness of personal hazards and the potential for personal injuries, and - Understand how your decisions affect the risk of personal injuries. Step Change in Safety Always Safe https://lnkd.in/gp6bwQ_k

We believe that all accidents are preventable and that every associate should return to their families at the end of their shift in the same healthy condition in which they showed up for work. To do so, we continue implementing and improving our behavior-based safety programs to eliminate unsafe behaviors. Since doing my SQA Accredited Fundamentals in Fire Door Inspection Training, I cannot stress enough how important it is to ensure that you have fit for purpose fire doors in your building. It is a real eye opener as to how quickly a fire can spread and find weaknesses in poorly fitted and designed doors. This can literally be the difference between life and death as a well designed and fitted fire door can hold back a fire for up to 30 minutes providing valuable time to safely exit a building. Next week is national fire door safety week and it is always useful to create dialogue in your teams about fire safety in general. If any of my network would like to chat more around this or find out how Firelink Protection LTD can support your business, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Have a great weekend. #firedoorsafety #firesafety

🏀 🔥 March Madness: A Reminder of the Unexpected and the Importance of Being Prepared As we dive into the thrills of March Madness, where underdogs and giants clash on the basketball court, let’s draw a parallel to something equally important – fire safety. Just like a buzzer-beater can turn the game around, a fire emergency can arise when least expected. 🏀 #MarchMadness teaches us to expect the unexpected and the value of preparation. Similarly, fire extinguisher training equips us with the skills to tackle emergencies head-on. Whether you’re courtside or in the comfort of your office, knowing how to use a fire extinguisher can be a game-changer. 🔥 #FireExtinguisherTraining ensures that when the heat is on, you’re not just a spectator but a proactive player. It’s not just about having the right equipment, but also having the know-how to use it effectively. So, as we cheer for our favorite teams, let’s also champion the cause of safety. Encourage your team to get trained, stay vigilant, and be the MVP in fire safety. Because when it comes to emergencies, EVERY SECOND COUNTS, & EVERY ACTION MATTERS. Stay safe and enjoy the Madness of March! #LION #FireSafety #FireExtinguisherTraining #EmergencyPreparedness #SafetyTraining #Leadership #ReadyForAction
