Did you know? 🏅 Our ramps are a part of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris! Let's start from the beginning... From July 26th, Paris will shine on the global stage as it hosts the Olympic and Paralympic Games. With around 15 million visitors expected, including many individuals with disabilities, ensuring seamless public transportation is more crucial than ever. 🚌 Accessibility is particularly vital for the Paralympic Games. Electric ramps on buses make it easier for people with mobility impairments to board and alight. However, these ramps must work perfectly, especially with the increased number of passengers. That's why we at HÜBNER are delighted to be working with RATPgroup, the Paris public transport company. 🚏 HÜBNER will manage the spare parts business for Paris buses, ensuring efficient service and repairs through fast delivery of spare parts. We are proud to contribute to enhanced accessibility for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and look forward to an exciting sports event. #Olympics2024 #Paralympics2024 #Mobility #Inclusion #Paris2024 #PublicTransport #Accessibility Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024

In the spirit of teamwork and pushing beyond limits, we are excited to be part of this joint challenge with #Paris2024 and Air Liquide to bring #Hydrogen from renewable sources to the Games and beyond. During the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, Air Liquide will supply hydrogen from renewable sources to power 500 of hydrogen-fuelled FCEV #ToyotaMirai, enabling zero tailpipe emission mobility for the Olympic and Paralympic family and organisers. But that’s not all! We are committed to a sustainable future, so all 500 Mirai vehicles will join the existing Paris hydrogen taxi fleet, increasing the total number of FCEV vehicles to 1,500. Have you seen it yet? The new Toyota commercial? The new TVC is intended as a story for both the Olympic and Paralympic Games and to show that Toyota is there for everyone. However, despite its good intentions, the commercial in my opinion misses the core of what we should actually be telling. While the intention may be good, the execution is not on target. By emphasizing the differences between able-bodied and Paralympic athletes, Toyota unconsciously creates a hierarchy. The Paralympic Games are presented as something separate, something different from the "normal" Olympic Games. As far as I'm concerned, this clashes with the idea of 'equal opportunities'. Instead of focusing on what athletes cannot do or what makes them different, it is important to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to excel based on their own strengths. The Paralympic Games, in my eyes, is exactly this. Paralympic athletes overcome limits and achieve top performances, despite their physical limitations. Their stories are inspiring and show that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. Toyota's commercial could have better emphasized this power by focusing on what all athletes have in common: the drive to win, the passion for their sport and the desire to get the best out of themselves. By showing that excellence comes in many forms and that diversity is a strength, Toyota could have delivered a more powerful message of inclusivity and equality.

The value of testing, understanding and improving the products you create before asking the end consumer to pay hard earned money for them cannot be underestimated. Especially when those products are intended for high performance activities. Love this example of Rab and their partners taking time out to experience their product first hand. #testandlearn #productexcellence
