We've always been told don't talk to strangers . if we wanna improve our communication skills, we should talk to strangers . Ms. Malavika Varadan challenges this societal norm by presenting 7 ways to make a conversation with anyone on the TEDx talks program. Malavika says that conversations are fantastic it's like a new door .conversations are like links , just imagine every conversations as tiny metal links every time we talk to a stranger we create a metal link ,and every conversation after that moment the link become stronger and stronger . we all meet lots of strangers just start the conversation with them , every conversations we build new links at the end we've created a massive world wide web of conversation . "Conversation can make war , conversation can make peace" isn't fantastic . "A conversation is like reading a book you can turn to any page you want and you can flip to your favourite chapter you can read as long as you want and you can read what you want . trust me every person is a really good book" I would recommend everyone to watch this talk and create new links. 1.Just say hi to a stranger with enthusiasm , full of positivity and a big smile 2. Skip the small talks and ask personal questions like ( how long you live in this city , what's the meaning of your name) 3.Find the things in common it becomes more intresting 4. Give them a nice ,unique & genuine compliment 5. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Yashvi Talati for providing me the invaluable opportunity to participate in the Stagecraft Mastery Workshop on Public Speaking, meticulously organized by Sumaiya Sultana and Shruti Mathur under the banner of Eunoia International. This experience was nothing short of extraordinary, providing me with the chance to connect with brilliant minds and delve into their remarkable stories. Workshops of this caliber are a treasure trove of new insights, invaluable hacks, and the chance to learn from fellow masterminds. They not only validate our existing knowledge but also serve as a powerful reminder of what we should and shouldn't do. Here are some key takeaways that left an indelible mark on me: 1. Self-Reflection: This workshop encouraged me to confront my inner "gremlins," those self-doubts and fears that often hold us back. It helped me discern whether these gremlins were real obstacles or merely figments of my imagination. 2. Speaker Type: Understanding my unique speaking style and identifying the speaking "canon" I belong to was a revelation. I now appreciate how I can leverage my inherent strengths while embracing other styles to motivate, inspire, influence, impact, and transform. 3. Creating Impact: I learned that to make a lasting impact, one must strive to impress. The art of public speaking goes beyond mere communication; it's about leaving a lasting impression on your audience. 4. Celebrating Uniqueness: The workshop reinforced the idea that embracing one's uniqueness is key. I was reminded to take pride in being different, as it sets us apart and adds depth to our message. 5. Ownership and Accountability: Regardless of where I find myself, the importance of taking ownership of that space was a resounding message. This lesson in accountability resonated deeply with me. Attending this workshop was an investment in self-discovery and personal growth. It has empowered me to understand my core identity and embark on a journey towards becoming a charismatic speaker, capable of delivering my thoughts with maximum impact. I can confidently say that the Sunday spent at this workshop was time well invested. It's an experience that has enriched my professional and personal life, and I am immensely grateful to Yashvi Talati Sumaiya Sultana Shruti Mathur and Eunoia International for making it possible.
