Angus Measurement Services, LP Special Services Group 💪Sharing Information Anyone with need to enter ATEX/IECEx Zone 0 environments, Kimberley Hayes and Valkim Technologies, LLC has the first and only platform to do it. This is not a concept, idea or "It's coming soon", it is here. The first generation of the platform initial uses are visual inspections via camera, atmosphere testing and UT measurements. The platform can be modified and configured in different way depending on the customer need and wants. The idea was to get the platform certified for ATEX/IECEx Zone 0 using existing ATEX certified components such as the camera, UT probes and monitors. Other components that conform to ATEX can be installed on the platform for different uses. Get in contact with Kimberley Hayes for purchasing a platform and discussing different applications you may have. When you have a need to put humans into an unknown environment or to do testing of material that could be harmful, this platform can do it for you. Let Kimberley Hayes know your application. For everyone going to NISTM in Orlando, Kimberley Hayes and Valkim Technologies, LLC will be exhibiting at booth 520. Thats coming up the first week of April. Passed by a terminal while on vacation today. Might not mean much to most people, but to me, it represented my final 3 years of career 1.0 - a testing of personal values vs organizational culture. I recalled some milestone conversations that I had with my staff then: - Safety first cannot just be a slogan. It must be a value we live by and hold each other to at all times. - Across our terminals, we may store more hazardous, flammable and toxic inventory than others in Singapore. Any incident can have unimaginable consequences. - Bonuses were tied to safety performance because safety is important. But, safety is far more important than bonuses. No amount of bonuses can make up for injuries and lives lost through incidents - especially those which could have been prevented if past safety lapses (hidden to preserve bonuses) were reported, investigated and properly resolved. - It’s easy to espouse safety and integrity on posters and badges. Walking the talk requires upholding safety over profitability. A true leader will not waver when faced with such decisions. - Customers are NOT always right. Turning a blind eye to their non-compliance, makes us complicit and numbs organisational senses towards our own compliance. May the stated values of the organisation be firmly rooted in every staff, be evident in every action and be the basis of every decision. #storingvitalproductswithcare

To build any safety culture, the people closest to the work have to believe that their leaders truly care for them. And I can say, they can recognize insincerity. So, assuming you achieve trust and transparency, the messaging or marketing (yes I said that) has to be consistent and fresh. Cases in reference. I was directly involved in our company Conduct of Operations/Operational Discipline global rollout. Those following two years, we realized the best process safety performance in history. Shortly thereafter, a blitz was done on contracted partner safety performance. You guessed it. Best ever results. The point being, you have to find creative balance in areas of personal and process safety messaging and engage people daily to make it come alive. But the foundation of it all is sincere CARING. It always gives me a good feeling inside to see people go home to their families happy (not hurt).

Safety starts with having the right mindset. Most employees who do not behave in a safe manner do so because they don't know WHY it's important. At Premier I&E, my job isn't just to enforce safe behavior, but to remind those who work here WHY being safe should be their TOP priority. The first and most crucial step in safety is awareness, being aware of potential hazards and actively working to mitigate or eliminate them if possible. I aim to reinforce this mindset and create a culture of safety and efficiency!
