🌿 Discovering the Heart of Our Wines: The Terroir of DOC Lison Pramaggiore 🍇 At Casere our journey in winemaking has always been an exploration of the unique terroir that blesses our vineyards in the DOC Lison Pramaggiore region. 🍷 The microclimates in this area play a pivotal role in shaping the very character of our wines. Each vineyard we tend to tells its own story, a narrative woven by the interplay of soil, climate, and vine. From the moment the sun's first rays gently kiss the vines to the cool, moonlit nights that provide respite, every element of our terroir leaves an indelible mark on our grapes. The soil composition, the angle at which the vines bask in sunlight, and the proximity to bodies of water - these are the unique ingredients that contribute to the tapestry of flavors in our wines. Our wines are more than just a beverage; they're a voyage into the soul of this region. They carry with them the whispers of generations of winemakers who have tended to these very vines, and the echoes of centuries of traditions. I'm genuinely excited to embark on a journey to share these terroir-driven narratives with our international partners. Each glass of our wine is like a postcard from this stunning corner of the world, a message of nature's artistry, and the craftsmanship of our winemakers. #WineTerroir #VineyardDiscoveries #WineJourney #ExportManager #WineAppreciation #CustomerSatisfaction #casereaziendaagricola #wine #italianwine #sparklingwine #prosecco

Compare and contrast: Chardonnay Chardonnay is one of the most widely planted and versatile grape varieties in the world. Most famous for producing stellar wines in Burgundy, Chardonnay has spread across the globe to diverse climates and terroirs, its adaptability to different winemaking techniques allowing winemakers to craft a wide range of styles, from crisp and unoaked to rich, buttery wines. Traditionally, European Chardonnays were known for exhibiting a more restrained and terroir-driven style, whilst the so called ‘New World’ wines were more fruit-forward and oak-driven. Some of us will remember tasting too many over-oaked examples from Australia but, today, winemakers across the globe focus on emphasising the expression of a vineyard's unique characteristics, reflecting the soil and climate, using oak and malolactic fermentation more sparingly, and crafting impeccable wines. This makes blind tasting all the more exciting as techniques in the winery are improved and developed with each vintage. We suggest having some fun presenting Domaine Begude Chardonnay from Limoux and Lenton Brae Chardonnay from Margaret River as a blind tasting to friends and family to see if they can tell which is which! #chardonnay #blindtasting #privatecellarwine #independentwinemerchant

*** GUY'S WEDNESDAY WISDOM: DOMAINE FRANÇOIS RAVENEAU - Lessons in Singularity *** "The most respected and celebrated estate in Chablis, the wines of Domaine Raveneau are the undisputed benchmark for quality in this little corner of Burgundy. Their vineyard holdings are made up of largely grand cru and premier cru fruit, made in painfully finite quantities (just 3000 cases per year across the range). The quality and consistency from villages to grand cru however, is nothing short of incredible. The domaine was created in 1948, when François Raveneau consolidated his holdings with his wife’s family’s vineyard parcels. Though his father had spent years selling off prime parcels, François was doing his best to bring new ones back into the hands of the domaine. The reputation of this elusive and somewhat stoic vigneron spread quickly, as his style was easily recognizable as far superior to the growing trend of innocuous, somewhat uniform Chardonnay. Although François passed away in 2000, his two sons Bernard and Jean continue to work in a traditional way, letting the terroir of rich clay and chalky limestone do the talking. The winemaking remains artisanal and as natural-as-possible to this day, aged in small oak barrels (feuillettes) which lend a textural creaminess to the wines without overpowering them with new oak. This is a domaine I fell in love with some years back and have been following closely ever since, drinking more than my fair share over the years…. In their youth, there is an unmistakable steeliness and precision to these wines that no other winery in the region has come close to emulating. Then after 6-8 years, they really pull away even further from the pack. The wines develop richness, layers of flavour and incredible minerality. They have to be tasted to be believed!" What do some of the world’s most complex, ageworthy and in-demand wines have to do with a pair of muddy boots? Today marks the start of our Burgundy 2022 campaign. A day when wines from some of the smallest - and most famous - vineyards in the world go on sale. A day when, after months of working with producers, tasting through hundreds and hundreds of wines, they can finally be added to your cellar. It’s an exciting day, made all the more so because the wines are exquisite. Our Burgundy Buyer Adam Bruntlett reckons these are the best wines he has tasted in over a decade of working in the region. And one of the reasons why these wines are so fantastic is the mud. Soil. Dirt. Earth. Terroir. Call it what you will, what the vines grow out of is crucial to how the grapes develop, how they taste, and the ultimate quality of the finished wine. This particular pair of boots comes from Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard, thrown off at the end of a day of hard harvesting in the fields. But the dirt that makes Burgundy so special is found throughout the region, albeit with little variations in composition that have a huge influence on the style of wines from different villages. Over the coming weeks we’ll be providing insights into Burgundy, some of the producers to keep an eye on, as well as exploring how best to build a cellar based around these fabulous bottles. Ultimately, the focus is on whether the wines taste good. The answer for 2022 in Burgundy is they do, they really do. And that’s partly because of the dirt. #Burgundy #finewine Image by Jason Lowe

A single vineyard-designated wine refers to a wine made from grapes sourced exclusively from one specific vineyard or block within a vineyard. This designation emphasizes the unique characteristics and terroir of that particular vineyard, as the grapes reflect the soil, climate, and other environmental factors specific to that location. Winemakers often produce single vineyard designate wines to showcase the distinctiveness and quality of grapes grown in a particular site, allowing wine enthusiasts to explore the nuances of terroir and appreciate the individuality of each vineyard's expression in the wine. Pricing for single vineyard designate wines may vary depending on factors such as vineyard prestige, grape quality, and production costs. #CalligraphyWine #WineCommunity #Gratitude #WineStory #Winemaker #VineyardVibes #WineLover #BehindTheScenes #RussianRiverValley #womanowned #WineLover #vivo #wineoclock #winetime #sonomacounty #winecountry #winecritics #wineratings #wine

[ 1𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗥𝗨 ] 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗮 1𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗲? ✨ In #Burgundy, wines are classified according to the quality of the terroir where the grapes are grown. 🍇 Premiers Crus appellations account for around 10% of Burgundy wines. These oenological gems are always linked to the name of the village where the vines are planted. ✍🏻 On the label of a bottle of Burgundy Premier Cru #wine, you'll see: the name of the appellation followed by the specific name of the village where the vines are planted. 🍷 Premiers Crus wines come from parcels carefully selected (climat) for their exceptional quality. Located on well exposed slopes and benefiting from ideal geological and climatic conditions, these #vineyards produce grapes of incomparable quality.

🍷 The Willamette Valley in Oregon is widely considered to be one of the best places in the world for growing Pinot Noir grapes. As a result, Pinot Noir from the region is often quite expensive. 🍷One reason for the high cost of Oregon Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley is the cost of land and labor in the region. The valley's fertile soil and ideal climate for grape growing make it a desirable location for wineries and vineyards, driving up the price of land. 🍷Many wineries in the Willamette Valley are small, family-owned operations that produce only a few thousand cases of wine each year. This small-scale production limits the availability of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and drives up the price. According to a 2019 report by Wine Enthusiast, the average price for a bottle of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is $50+, much higher than the average price for Pinot Noir from other regions like California and New Zealand. . . 🔘 READ MORE --> https://lnkd.in/eYqQ8kUi #WillametteValley #WillametteValleyhistory #WillametteValleywinetours #winetour #sweetwine #oldwine #winetasting #WineHistoryTours #WineTourism
