Duvel Moortgat 6.66% Belgian Blond The sunny, warm yellow design of the bottles already suggests it. This Duvel is mild, expressive and deliciously drinkable. No fewer than 6 different hop varieties are used for Duvel 6.66%: just like the classic Duvel, it’s based on the noble and exclusive hop varieties Saaz and Styrian Golding. The flavor is then balanced by adding four expertly selected hop varieties to the mix, which also involves the dry-hopping technique. There are 666 reasons to have a Duvel 6.66, what's yours? #duvel #beer #brewedtobelieved #belgianblond #duvel666 #belgianbeer #beerlovers #beernerd #craftbeer #craftbeerlovers #beertasting #brescomebarton

Château La Grave Figeac, Saint Émilion Grand Chu Vintage 2016 Varietals: 65% Merlot 35% Cabernet Franc ABV: 13.5% Decanting : 4 hours (this year 2023) Drinking window: now (with decanting) till 2040 Colour: Ruby to Garnet Nose: Does open-up very slowly, but when ready gives lots of red and dark berry fruits with hints of mint and violets on the nose. Palate: Figs, dates, black plums and mocha softened with a mixture of sweet red fruits. Nuances of leather and tobacco just starting to show, but would probably give more as it ages and adds more tertiary characteristics. Good balance of fruit, tannins, oak and acid, but need to be patient at decanting. My View: Should you opened it over the next few years, it would be an absolute waste if you treat this like your garden variety supermarket-shelf wine. There, you’ve been warned. Interesting Note: The vineyard borders Pomerol and is approximately 1 km from Le Pin and Petrus. Its address is 1, Cheval Blanc Ouest ie its next door neighbour is the famous Cheval Blanc vineyard. Given the same aging as one would accord a Cheval Blanc, you can expect this wine to perform way above other wines in its price category.

‘Is this the world's greatest Pinotage?’ – Tim Atkin, 97 points The 2021 Kanonkop Black Label Pinotage straddles the line between luxury and fine wine. Light-footed and balanced, it showcases the clarity and vibrance of this superb vintage. The 2021 Black Label seduces with dark, bruised florals and raspberry fruit, wrapped in an aromatic blanket of fine vanilla, cocoa bean, and dark cherry tobacco. The nose promises elegance and the palate delivers – offering concentrated mid-palate fruit and subtle tannins for a juicy, yet finely constructed backbone. Surely their best vintage yet, this is the ultimate expression of Pinotage. From Kanonkop’s oldest block on the slopes of the Simonsberg, the vineyard is now entering its seventh decade. Its old bush vines yield small, concentrated berries which allow Abrie Beeslaar’s minimal-intervention approach in the cellar to coax a refined, seamless, super-energetic wine. Abrie follows in the legendary footsteps of Jan ‘Boland’ Coetzee and Beyers Truter, whose reputations were largely built on the Pinotage they made at Kanonkop. Considered an ‘SA First Growth’, Kanonkop’s Black Label Pinotage is the pinnacle of this grape. #southafrica #sawine #southafricanwine #winesoftheworld #pinotage #southafricanwineindustry #wineindustry #wineinvestment

🍇 Are you familiar with concrete tanks for winemaking? 🏺 Concrete tanks are valued for their high thermal inertia, providing natural temperature regulation during the various stages of vinification. Whether for reds, whites, or rosés, concrete maintains the ideal conditions for each type of wine, with stable temperatures that promote harmonious aroma development. One of the great advantages of concrete tanks lies in their ability to allow for natural micro-oxygenation. Their porous material introduces oxygen very slowly, helping to soften tannins and stabilize the wine continuously and under control. The only downside? Cleaning can be more challenging, but certain coatings facilitate this process without altering the wine's qualities. 🍷 #Vinification #ConcreteTanks #Viticulture #Wine #Innovation
