Transforming Organizational Performance to Deliver Outstanding Business Results | Organizational Leadership Consultant | Executve Coaching and Development

Throughout my consulting career and when I was a company employee, I led teams and organizations through several shifts from legacy systems to SAP/ERP implementation. I'm not going to say that ERP implementation is easy. But it doesn't have to be as hard as we make it out to be if you do one big thing: Make sure that the people designing your ERP actually know what's happening on your manufacturing floor. It sounds obvious, right? But I've been a part of too many of these implementations where the people who actually know what the challenges are and what they need to be more successful aren't consulted on the solution. If that's the case, is it any surprise that when the implementation is rolled out, there's some employee resistance? Why would they change the way they work when they know the new system isn't going to be any better than the old one? An ERP implementation is a culture change, for sure. Not just for the employees that are being asked to abide by it, but the leaders of an organization, too. They have to be comfortable with consulting the people who are using the systems and processes every day. #ProcessImprovement #ERP #ERPImplementation #EmployeeEngagement
