Two weeks into Frocktober and together we’ve raised $731 to fight ovarian cancer. Thank you!! The symptoms of ovarian cancer are often vague, and may not even present significantly until the cancer has advanced. Symptoms can include persistent or sudden onset of: bloating and abdominal swelling, appetite loss or feeling full quickly, tiredness, unexplained changes in weight, change in frequency of urination and lower back pain. If this sounds like you, or someone you love - please get checked out! And if you’re keen to support the search for an early detection test, click on the fundraising link below: https://lnkd.in/geqUjEvf #Frocktober2023 #ocrf

Today is World Cancer Day, and our thoughts are with everyone facing a diagnosis, our hearts go out to you and your loved ones. Today — and every day — we hope to create change for women navigating ovarian cancer. Why? Because early diagnosis is key to successful treatment. Our goal is to: 🔹 Increase early detection of ovarian cancer. 🔹 Improve the standard of care for those diagnosed. 🔹 Educate women on early warning signs about ovarian cancer. 🔹 Establish a protocol around testing. We need to increase donations to continue our mission and to reach our goals. If you'd like to donate, you can do so here: https://lnkd.in/eMSkQ5E2. Understanding cancer is ESSENTIAL if you want to prevent it! We're here to break down Myths vs Facts, today we're tackling the myth that breast cancer is only diagnosed in women over 50. While breast self-examination is an important part of breast cancer prevention, not all breast cancers can be detected through self-examination alone. Regular mammograms and clinical breast exams are also important for early detection. Join us in building a network of hope - you can help our mission by donating, volunteering, or sharing your story to help others going through a similar journey of their own. #fightcancer #earlyrecognition #ericvscancer #takeaction
