📅 Uniting scholars, artists, and cultural producers, the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, Inc., in partnership with New York International Contemporary Art Society (NYICAS), Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, and Saphira & Ventura New York Gallery, will host a breakfast seminar on “Impact Investing in Brazil’s Creative Economy.” The program will highlight the importance of investing in creative processes and industries in Brazil, including ANTROPOCRUZO, an exhibition about a carnival parade in Rio de Janeiro celebrating the Tupinambá Mantle. This 17th-centutry feathered cape was made by the Tupinambás, an indigenous tribe of the Tupi people, and is now an iconic ethnographic artifact.
