Often, awards are given for free to celebrities or public figures to attract more entrepreneurs or companies to join and enrol for the award night. You might think this is a great opportunity to expose your brand to more people. It can be, especially if you’re looking to promote your brand or build new networks. However, when the market is flooded with organisers offering the same awards, you tend to see the same faces at every event. This repetition dilutes the impact of the awards, creating an environment where they lose their uniqueness and value. Instead of being significant recognitions of excellence, they become mere participation trophies. Many organisers prioritise profit over genuine recognition, undermining the core purpose of these awards. Before jumping into buying an award, consider a few key points: ✔️When people Google your business, can they easily find what products or services you offer? ✔️Have you set up a website or social media platforms? ✔️Do you have a compelling story to tell? ✔️What is your target market? ✔️What problems are you solving for your customers? If you haven't addressed these foundational aspects, it's crucial to focus on them first. Build your unique story and make your brand shine.
