My client is looking for a Core Java Developer to join their team. Your focus will be on enhancing our Core Java-based Algorithmic Trading Engine, supporting a high-volume trading environment. Collaborate with global teams to develop, customize strategies, and ensure system reliability. Title: Core Java Developer Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote Location: NYC Contract: 12-18 Months - all applicants must be able to work on Experis' W2 directly; we are unable to work with 3rd party suppliers or C2C candidates. However, an experienced recruiter understands the difference in the number of applications and time-to-hire between the vacancies of junior React developers and enterprise architects 👀 In practice, the complexity and rarity of a position depend on: ▶️ the core technology, ▶️ the number of requirements, ▶️ the domain/sphere. After creating a recruitment brief, a recruiter estimates the market volume, compares it to internal analytics and candidate conversion data, and can make a forecast concerning how difficult (or realistic) it is to fill a vacancy. Here are some examples of really rare positions in IT that we at ITExpert have filled and you can face: ✅ Developers who use Rust, Cobol, Erlang, or other rare languages. For example, Cobol is an outdated technology that is still used in some banking projects in the USA and all over the world. ✅ Application security or backend QA specialists. ✅ Software development engineers in test (a developer, tester, and DevOps engineer all-in-one). ✅ MLOps, DevSecOps, and other “Ops” specialists that are not yet common on the market. Although such candidates can be found in different local markets, their numbers are extremely limited! This means that recruitment teams may need to take extra measures and allocate additional resources to find and hire the right talent. So… How to fill these positions successfully? Here are some tips from my experience for you! 1. Broaden your search to different platforms (use not only job boards and LinkedIn but also niche resources like Github). 2. Create and manage your candidate database (it will be possible to return to candidates in the future). 3. Build your employer brand and pay extra attention to your candidate's experience — in this way, candidates will want to work in your team and you will not face rejections or a small offer acceptance rate (OAR).
