#MissionMonday: Examples of Mission Statements A compelling mission statement clarifies the purpose of your organization—it’s the reason you exist. Think of it as the foundational purpose of your existence. When crafted effectively, great mission statements become a benchmark for alignment across all aspects of a company. Core values underpin the behaviors necessary to fulfill the mission. The vision outlines what long-term success looks like once the mission is achieved. Every facet of your organization, from culture and talent strategy to financial planning, marketing, decision-making, and even key performance indicators, should mirror and support this fundamental organizational blueprint. Here are a few “why” statements, including our own. Does your mission provide a compelling reason for your existence? Is your organization driven by a meaningful mission?
