🍷 Being one of, if not the first, virtual wine tasting experiences is something we are incredibly proud of. 🙅♂️ No VC funding. 🙅♂️ No investors. ✔ Just sweat equity and long hours. Here is another topic we pride ourselves on: selecting wines that you can buy. ⬅ 🚫 We will never work with a set four-pack of wine or small samplers. That's too limiting. What fun is there in that? 🚫We won't work with a few key wineries only or cloak our tastings into a general tasting when it's really a tasting for a specific distributor. 🚫We won't hold an event and require your guests to purchase a set amount of wines. 🚫We don't sell wine. 💜 After thousands of events, our clients continue to tell us how much they appreciate the care we take in selecting wines that can be purchased at a retailer or online. Of course, this varies by state laws or distributors. 👊 There you have it. We will continue to operate as we have since Day 1. Navigating the world of wine is incredibly daunting, with so many rules and regulations that will make your head spin. But it's important to us to introduce as many varietals and price points to our customers. Thanks for the years of support, everyone! We are exciting to host these upcoming Spring events with you! https://lnkd.in/g6nmsaXr hello@bottlesnation.com #wineevents #virtualwineevent #winetasting #wine #sommelier

Attending wine events and trade shows zeroed in on the wine industry is one of my favorite things. Yes… I am fully aware that this is a very odd thing and I’ve fully accepted my weirdness. Many people in the industry have told me they loathe these events, and I can understand that it’s long hours on your feet trying to talk with people in the roar of a room that is maxed out with people who are drinking. Trust me, my ears were STILL ringing a few hours after the event because of the amount of conversations that were being had with 100’s of people in one room. But for me these events excite and recharge my love of wine and this industry. Meeting people who are fans of the most beloved drink in the world always brings me back to a new perspective. Especially when you are in a completely sold out session for anyone from a wine novice to the professional. I loved talking with winemakers and asking questions only to have the person next to me ask “how did you think to even ask that question? I’m just here to drink but that’s really interesting!” Then the conversation continues and the next thing you know they are excited to meet a wine professional that does wine tasting events where the “snobbery” of wine is taken away and there are real conversations on a level that anyone can understand. That, in my personal opinion, is one way we can help change the way wine is discussed and percieved. Create conversations that are fun and fueled by curiosity where people can feel free to ask questions they may have been mocked for previously. My favorite comment of the evening was from a man who “really only drinks IPA’s” was that he was very curious to know more about wine but wondered how anyone can remember the details if you’re drinking wine while learning about it. My response was “that’s usually why people invite me back for a second event… to go over the things they forgot!” With that answer, he gave the best belly laugh and almost spit out his wine… almost 😉 What is your favorite thing about wine expo’s and trade shows? #ibringthewine #wine #winetasting #winelovers #winebusiness #wineindustry #winelover #wines #wineeducation #wineeducator #winelife #bostonwineexpo

Importing sensational wines from Europe to the UK | Focussing on hard-to-find wines of originality and finesse | Applying science to wine selection
What are your hopes for 2024? What has 2023 brought me? Knowledge of the wine market in the UK from first hand to add to my wine education at WSET Level 3. Bringing exceptional Spanish wines to market was a massive undertaking for me. Thanks to Harpers Wine & Spirits' expert reports 👍 I kept up to date with trends in this growing market which actually includes one of my favourite brands Rioja. 😋 Promoting wines at SITT for the second time was a big undertaking and a joyful learning experience. 😅 Twenty-two visits and networks establishing meant that the word is getting out about our business model. The message about raising expectations in restaurant wine 📢 is perfectly expressed with the use of the 3D algorithm to select ever more relevant wines. Being a micro entity business gives us flexibility on the road to increasing our client portfolio. 2024 hopefully will bring consolidation of the 3D algorithm using all of our programming skills 🤓, plus more trade tastings to reach our special customers with sensational wine offerings 🍷 ❤️ #wine #winelovers #sommeliers #restaurants #organicmarketing #sustainability #vineyards #naturalproducts #wineexport #winebusiness #wineindustry #veganwine #organicwine #naturalwine

Captivating Insights from “Wine Scoring Uncorked” Panel Discussion Last night, I had the privilege of attending the “Wine Scoring Uncorked” panel discussion, hosted by the Wine Communicators of Australia Inc (WCA). With the ever-charismatic Angus Barnes as MC, the event featured insightful contributions from industry luminaries Sam Payne, Kasia Sobiesiak, Angus Hughson and mike bennie. They delved deep into the merits and challenges of wine critique, scoring, and the art of storytelling in the wine world. Reflecting on the discussion, I pondered my own approach to wine sales and recommendations. Do I promote wines solely based on their scores, like a 97-point rating from Halliday? Not really. Do I highlight a wine’s gold medal from a wine show? It varies, depending on the show's prestige, the competition's quality, and the judging criteria. Ultimately, my approach is rooted in personal relationships and authentic experiences. For instance, a dear friend of mine, who has an extraordinary palate despite not being a wine expert, often picks out remarkable wines purely based on taste. His recommendations hold a special place for me, proving that genuine appreciation transcends scores and medals. This event reaffirmed my belief in the power of personal connections and authentic experiences in the world of wine. Cheers to the vibrant discussions and the shared passion for this timeless craft! #wca #winecommunicators #australia #winecommunicatorsofaustralia #wineindustry #winescoring #uncorked #panel #discussion #winecritique #storytelling #wineeducator #communicator #passion #discover #wine #winemerchant #winediscovery #wineeducation #winetime #instawine #explore #connect #develop #inspire #grow #aspire
