Being able to sign clients electronically was a total game-changer that came out of the pandemic. Years ago I used to drive ALL around Massachusetts signing clients. The pandemic was terrible initially because there were fewer cases. But there were also some really good things that sprang from it when it comes to running a firm. Things that make work easier. Right?

The transition to esign for everything, and Zoom hearings (depositions and the vast majority of court proceedings) are the best things to ever come out of COVID. Sure for depositions and court hearings, live and in-person stuff is need / required , but for most, zoom is sufficient and a lot of times hetter

I’ve always said that if there was one thing that happened to make things easier after Covid, it was this coupled with virtual meetings.

It is definitely interesting to think back to pre-pandemic times and what we now perceive as inefficiencies we would not to go back to!

Absolutely! Change is hard. Technology + Change = Harder. However, bottom line rewards real. Let’s assume cost $100 of everyone’s time (likely more) per doc coordinating signatures. benefit of tech? Your staff may be able to do 4x more in same time took to do 1 For 4 diff clients so you bill 4x more but your cost is likely only increased by software addition. I did this in prior companies w/positive return & people happier. Secondary benefit, less task switching (hidden cost).
