So rewarding. Our first community campaign for FY24 at Junction Fair is live, in support of Soul Hub’s The Big Ask!
It can be tricky to find the right balance - maximising Centre Promo Fund value for Retailers, while at the same time fostering positive community relationships. Even in tiny Centre’s there is often a long list of community groups seeking sponsorship and donations … all with a great cause.
We’re trying something a little different, using our “donation” to incentivise and reward our Centre Community. Customers, Retailers, Suppliers and Associates have been invited to donate by purchasing a virtual food or personal care package – with 100% of the proceeds going to Soul Hub; and to say thanks we’ll pop them into a draw to win a $1,000 gift card!
Soul Hub is a local charity dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in our community www.soulhub.org.au. With assistance from the team at Out Of The Square, they provided a great creative framework that we were able to tap into visually. Our marketing team, iSocialize and Mozmo Creative helped us evolve the idea, jump the hurdles and bring it all together.
The soft target is to collect $1,000 in donations, and raise awareness along the way – for Soul Hub, Junction Fair, and the generous Retailers who have come on board with extra support: Bakers Delight, Terry White Chemmart and Coles.
The real target though is to turn that $1,000 into “more”!
We have signage on display in centre, distributed an eDM, and run posts across socials to promote what we’re doing – with links to the web page and “Donate Now” button. I confess to getting a tingle each time a notification comes through signalling a donation has been made (that’s not weird right), and even a bit teary when it’s $100!
The generosity of our Customers has been amazing 😊
