We’ve set some challenging sustainability goals for ourselves. We realize that looking at our materials, supply chain, and reuse efforts across the board isn’t a fixed destination we’re headed towards. Rather, it’s an ongoing effort of constantly examining where we are and what we can be doing better. Here’s how we’re making strides to reduce our footprint across three key areas.

WALKING THE SUSTAINABILITY TALK At Bosch, using technology to improve people’s lives is at the core of our approach “invented for life”. Given that life itself is facing the existential crisis of climate change, we needed to work out how to apply technology to lead by example and push forward with our comprehensive sustainability efforts. After all, while climate action costs money, doing nothing will cost even more. Since 2020 Bosch was the first global industrial enterprise to achieve carbon neutrality across over 400 locations worldwide (scopes 1 and 2)*. To achieve this goal we approached this task utilising four strategies: • Increasing energy efficiency • Expanding the production of renewable energy • Producing more green electricity • And where necessary offsetting unavoidable CO2 emissions. We now aim to improve the mix of measures and thus further reduce climate impact.
