Honoring International Overdose Awareness Day 💜 🕊️ Remembering, Supporting, and Advocating: On this day, we remember those we have lost, stand with their loved ones, and continue to advocate for better mental health resources, access to treatment, and comprehensive support systems. 👥 A Holistic Approach to Healing: Overdose is a tragic outcome of the complex interplay between mental health challenges and substance use. This day reminds us of the urgency to address both aspects through a holistic approach. By providing support, resources, and a safe space, we can contribute to preventing future tragedies. 💡 Education and Empowerment: Education is our ally in preventing overdose and promoting mental well-being. By sharing accurate information, we empower individuals to make informed decisions and seek help when needed. Knowledge is a powerful tool for change. 🤝 Let's honor International Overdose Awareness Day by joining hands to raise awareness, spread compassion, and contribute to a world where mental health is prioritized. Together, we can make a difference. 🕊️🌏 #OverdoseAwarenessDay #MentalHealthMatters #TogetherForChange #depressionawareness

Staggering numbers. As healthcare professionals, let's resolve to end stigma around mental health by offering empathy versus judgement, compassion versus criticism. Mental health challenges are more prevalent than we may realize, with 1 in 4 people around us struggling on a daily basis. Let's create safe environments where seeking mental health help is normalized. Let's also move away from harmful labels. Someone is not "schizophrenic" or "bipolar" or "depressed" or "anxious" - they merely have a diagnosis and are doing their best to cope. Let's help them heal. Proud to work for Valleywise Health that creates healing environments.

Every year, 1 in 4 of us will experience ill mental health. But too many of us aren’t getting the help we need. Over 2 million people are waiting for NHS mental health services, and, since 2017 the number of young people struggling with their mental health has nearly doubled. People feel overwhelmed and hopeless ... they need support right now. Mental Health Awareness Week runs from 13 to 19 May 2024 and, for this year, Mind is launching #NoMindLeftBehind. They are calling on us to raise awareness and vital funds for a future where everyone can get quality mental health care when needed. Together we can build a better future for generations to come. One where mental health and the many ways it can impact all of us, is treated, here and now. Get involved here: https://lnkd.in/ejSMziAM Get information and support here: https://lnkd.in/eTiabZyW

Today is the start of Mental Health Awareness Week 🤝 According to Mind, every year, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem. However, the number of us who receive the necessary help and support is significantly lower than this. Here are some things AS want to reaffirm this week: 🧠 Self-care isn’t selfish and it certainly doesn’t have to be expensive. Why not go for a walk during your lunch break, or write three things you are grateful for every morning? 🧠 Breaking the silence begins with breaking the stigma. Let's reaffirm our commitment to ending the stigma surrounding mental health challenges in the legal profession. 🧠 There is strength in solidarity. It is no secret that the legal community is growing incredibly well, and now is the best time to connect and support one another. As we begin Mental Health Awareness Week, let's remember to prioritise empathy, compassion, and open dialogue in our journey to break the stigma surrounding mental health challenges. #MentalHealthWeek2024 #AspiringSolicitors

🌟 Caring Ambitiously for Mental Health Awareness Day 🌟 Here at Simbec-Orion, we are proud to be a Clinical Research Organisation that embodies the value of "Caring Ambitiously." We believe that mental health should be a priority for everyone. By fostering a supportive and understanding environment, we motivate and inspire change in the way we approach mental health within our organisation and the broader community. This year we are utilising our Mental Health First Aiders to host Tea & Talk sessions with colleagues as well as increasing awareness of our CALM programme and providing useful links to additional learning material to help raise awareness and reaffirm our commitment to mental health, break down stigma, and continue to support one another on our journey to better health and well-being. Together, we can make a positive impact not only on drug development but also on the lives of those who depend on the treatments we help bring to the world. #MentalHealthAwareness #CaringAmbitiously #ClinicalResearch #SimbecOrion #TogetherWeCanMakeADifference
