The growth continues… With the platform we built here at Trugard, it’s easy to see and track what networks are seeing some amazing development growth. Over the last 24hrs, we’ve seen an order of magnitude more smart contracts being deployed on #Base, by Coinbase, when compared to any of the other networks that we currently support. We typically see surges in contract deployments following typical cycles, but this feels different, things are definitely getting exciting on that network. We’ll soon open source a tiny example client that demonstrates just how easy it is to use our platform to leverage insights like this and others.

My personal highlight: 2024: “A digital asset is just computer code” 5 days later: The digital asset itself “represents the investment contract” It’s gotta be one or the other, Gary.

A recent... disagreement between CertiK and Kraken over a $3 million exploit is causing quite a stir. What's going on though? On June 9, Kraken received a bug report that led to the discovery of a vulnerability allowing attackers to inflate their balances. Kraken swiftly patched the issue, only to allegedly find that a CertiK employee had exploited it and withdrawn nearly $3 million. When Kraken asked for the funds back, CertiK reportedly demanded a reward instead. Kraken is calling this extortion, which puts CertiK's actions in a very questionable light. This drama is a reminder of the importance of ethical practices in security research. Let’s aim for transparency and trust in our crypto ventures. I'll be keeping an eye on how this all plays out...

Turns out it's another CertiK strike 🚨 This time $3M worth of Kraken assets They took 5 days to disclose a critical vulnerability to Kraken Digital Asset Exchange - one of the biggest crypto exchanges, after moving close to $3M through Tornado Cash, and claiming they were battle testing Kraken's defence mechanisms. As a proud member of an audit team guided by integrity at Audita, Future-Proof Smart Contract Audits, I share what NOT to do as a reputable audit firm: 1. In the interest of transparency (which you say is your key value), you don’t act on your own behalf, conducting multiple high-value trades - you share your findings immediately with client and cooperate. 2. You don’t question why client’s defence mechanisms fail to detect what’s happening - you help client implement such mechanisms. 3. You don’t publicly judge client for not providing a payment address to return the funds. You obviously don't need that, since you've been playing with said funds. What you do is you hold money matters between you and client private and conduct them with integrity. High time Web3 firms realise the importance of auditors’ character and code of conduct, and put those at high priority when choosing an audit partner. Size and age of audit firm don’t necessarily mean better audit experience. Prioritise integrity. #Web3 #Web3Security

HTX SURGES PAST COINBASE FOR SPOT TRADING VOLUME “This is just the beginning, and we are just getting started” - As announced by $TRX founder, justinsuntron, the HTX exchange (for which he is an advisor) has, for the first time ever, flipped Coinbase in terms of spot trading volume. - A screenshot shared by Sun put Coinbase’s daily volume at just $1.59 billion, whereas HTX’ stands at more than $2 billion - a gap of nearly $500 million. - Reports point to Coinbase’s battles with various legal cases as the reason behind the CEX’s slump in 24h volumes. - For context, Coinbase is currently a securities-related lawsuit from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). - The exchange’s motion to dismiss the case was denied in March, just two months ago.
