Embrace the power of disagreement! 🌟 Disagreeable givers make positive revolutions. I recently revisited an incredible discussion featuring three of my favorite inspiration sources #AdamGrant and #SteveBartlett on how #Pixar fosters innovation. 'Disagreeable givers' are the outspoken ones, often seen as misfits, "they're rough and tough on the surface, but they're doing it because they wanna help and they have ideas to make things better.  They're not content with just sticking to the status quo". 🚀 Adam Grant highlights that while they can be uncomfortable to engage with, their willingness to voice distinct ideas, research shows they end up driving more innovation. Why did I stop my 9-5 to start a business? So I could do more things like this. Last Fall, my 4-year old was watching Toy Story and randomly said: "I want to go to Disney World!" "Really?" I said, quickly trying to think of a way to respond. I asked him, "What makes you want to go to Disney World?" He said, "It's REALLY fun and I want to go see Buzz Lightyear!" As he was answering me, I was immediately battling with my inner thoughts: ❌ It's expensive ❌ It's kind of random ❌ I'd have to take a couple days off from working But then I thought → Ya know, in my past career, it would have been nearly impossible to drop everything, take a couple days off & just go somewhere. And moments like this are EXACTLY why I changed careers! So, we dropped everything and went! And it was completely awesome. Building a business has been hard, stressful, and there have been moments of nervousness and uncertainty. But if I consider all of that stress as a "cost" → I would pay it every single day to be able to do things like this for my kids. He and I still talk about that trip almost every day... ...and I'm already looking for the next chance to drop everything and go! 👇 Btw, here he is FINALLY getting to see Buzz Lightyear! 👇

How can we ensure diverse perspectives can enter the industry so our work can thrive? Our Provocation Manager Lizzy Cooney spoke to shots about some of the blockers young people face when starting their creative careers. She argues agencies should actively promote opportunities, allow experimentation and failure, shift mindsets from tick-boxing to a genuine appreciation of diversity, and take risks where possible on unlikely candidates.
