At BMNT, what drives us is when we see the direct impact our work has on young people and their ability to make a difference. #H4Diplomacy student Isabella Santos recently shared her thoughts on the program's ability to “bridge the divide between government-adjacent work and equitable access.” As a student without established connections, this course provided her with the mentorship needed to navigate her dream career in public service. The program enabled her to interact with U.S. diplomats and personnel, gaining insights into the State Department’s inner workings and opening doors to further opportunities, such as the Charles B. Rangel summer enrichment program and the Freeman-ASIA award. “This hands-on opportunity deepened my understanding and solidified my desire to pursue a career in diplomacy,” Ms. Santos says. BMNT partnered recently with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) CInO to train the Innovation Officers in support of the Administrator's vision for a more agile workforce. The TSA Chief Innovation Officer hosted dozens of Lift Cell Innovation Officers representing over 350 airports to learn how to recognize solutions worth adopting to address TSA challenges and network. Participants ultimately identified hundreds of problems and made progress on dozens through collaboration and purposeful instruction over the course of three days.
