I could not agree more, the 21st century has ushered in a transformative era marked by the rise of Artificial Intelligence. As a continent rich in human and natural resources, Africa has a unique opportunity to leapfrog traditional stages of development. By embracing AI, we can revolutionize healthcare, enhance education, improve agricultural yields, and create sustainable energy solutions.

Artificial intelligence has already become an integral part of our present, transforming industries and enriching our daily lives. Its ability to revolutionize various sectors necessitates our immediate attention and investment to harness its full potential.

Leaders of the new Africa can only be builders! People that can go from innovative imaginations (that will be changing alot) to full implementation in the shortest amount of time possible with their team. They will also have an affinity to attract the best of the best of talents. You’ll never achieve these two things by hiring a company to build for you (probably from India) or by ignoring tech skill gaps in your in-house team or by focusing on hyping / talking / attending business events rather than building! The only way is to build. Build many useful apps that the new Africa will depend on everyday. Period. See you at the top fellow builders!

Honoured to speak among such prestigious industry leaders. Really good and important discussion One of my take away messages. Is food and fibre changing- yes faster than ever. Human needs are largely the same but we have more data about that then ever before. How we use this will be important in the way we shape companies and revenue models in this country in the future. If we don’t recognize that we must reduce stocking rates while contending with increase costs at border or increased reporting / hygiene factors at border and for lending (read increase cost of goods sold). We will have trouble keeping up with the price points consumers need. Efficiency + innovation on revenue models … spoiler alert… that’s why we do what we do Backstory, help brands win on the cost side with technology and be smarter in market to win attention and trust.
