During the event "Building a Sustainable & Inclusive Future of Colombia based on Engineering Business Opportunities for Hydrogen Industry", we identified key needs in Education and Culture, Artificial Intelligence and Digitalisation, Water Management, Hydrogen Production, and International Cooperation. We therefore invite innovators, technology developers, researchers and community members to submit their proposals to address these challenges. The selected solutions will be presented at the 4th International Congress on Biorefineries and Renewable Energies Supported by ICT, which will be broadcasted on our YouTube channel. 🔋🌍 Today at "Science Impact 2023 – tomorrow's solutions start today" – our Co-founder and Executive Chairman Tom Einar Jensen had the privilege to speak at a fully booked event dedicated to science, innovation, energy and environment! 🚀 This gathering, organized by the University of Oslo (UiO) serves as a vital meeting place for academia, institutes, the public sector, start-ups, and industry leaders. It's an exciting part of Oslo Innovation Week 2023! The session, titled "Energy & Environment II: Efficient energy storage: Battery and hydrogen", focused on the pressing need for more efficient energy storage solutions in the ongoing energy transition. The speakers delved into the challenges and opportunities within hydrogen and battery storage systems. 💡 Key questions that were addressed: 🔸 What does it take to scale up efficient energy storage systems? 🔸 How can technology play a pivotal role in this transition? 🔸 How can we harness research findings to implement innovative solutions, as discussed during the talks? 🔸 What possibilities and challenges lie ahead in this transformative journey? 🔸 How should academia and industry collaborate to maximize the impact of scientific advancements? 🌟 This week we meet CLEANHYPRO partner TNO, a powerhouse in hydrogen research, innovating across the entire hydrogen value chain from production to final applications; with over 5️⃣ 0️⃣ hydrogen-related projects, #TNO is pivotal in accelerating learning and technology development within the CLEANHYPRO project. In the CLEANHYPRO project, PNO Innovation (Portugal) is responsible for: ✳️ management of public tenders ✳️ creation of the Platform Access Point (SEP- Single Entry Point) ✳️ support to the project coordinator in general project management #CLEANHYPRO #HydrogenResearch #HydrogenInnovation #SustainableEnergy #Electrolysis #Innovation

And what if it works?   Prof. Oehlert and his team at Jade Hochschule are requesting funds to trial a novel hydrogen-oxygen power plant which will be able to supply clean dispatchable power and heat in times of need. Will this work? – I got no clue and trust the team that it will Would I personally invest in this endeavour now? – I doubt it And what if it works? If it works, this technology has the potential to become a cornerstone to deliver the energy transition. To make it a real game changer, technology requires more than “just” to work. It has to be applied at the right place with the suitable infrastructure and in the right dimensions to deliver the true business case for sustainability. I am more than happy to support this innovation and will happily serve as sparring partner to make sure this broader view is covered.
