May is Mental Health Awareness Month! This month seeks to spread awareness of mental health issues, reduce stigma, and provide support for those struggling. We support our staff’s mental well-being by providing several resources. Our Employee Assistance Program provides employees and their household members with short-term counseling, referrals, and other related services. Our staff also have access to unlimited PTO that they can use to rest and recover. Additionally, through our partnership with Gympass (WellHub), staff get free access to apps like Calm, Headspace, Sleep Cycle, and can attend in-person workout classes. Mental health challenges can affect anyone and it's important to take care of our minds as much as our bodies! #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MentalHealthMatters

Here are some ways in which we can at🧚♀️individual level🧛♀️ improve our workplaces 👇 To enhance office culture with a focus on mental health, consider these strategies: 1. 🗣 Promote Open Communication: Encourage a culture where employees feel safe discussing their mental health without fear of judgment or stigma. Regular check-ins and open-door policies can help foster this environment. 2. 📲 Provide Mental Health Resources: Ensure employees have access to mental health support, such as counseling services, workshops, and educational materials. 3. ⌛ Encourage Work-Life Balance: Support flexible working hours, remote work options, and encourage employees to take breaks and vacations to recharge.⛳ 4. 🤗 Foster a Supportive Environment: Train managers and team leaders to recognize signs of mental distress and provide them with tools to offer support appropriately. 5. 🎭🧣 Normalize Mental Health Days: Just like sick days, mental health days should be recognized and respected. Encourage employees to take time off when they need to focus on their mental well-being. 6. 🎡 Build Team Bonding and Inclusivity: Organize team-building activities and events that are inclusive and consider the diverse needs of all employees.
