Inspired by this temple of Mithras comes Born from Stone – an immersive installation from Goshka Macuga that features sculptural rock formations resembling the subterranean landscape of the temple’s origins. Within this immersive environment, visitors encounter a selection of works, on loan from Imperial War Museums curated by Macuga. Building on our work to expand access to higher education for lower-income students and to increase socio-economic diversity on campus, today we announced a $1 billion financial aid gift to The Johns Hopkins University to expand access to The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, and other graduate schools.   Medical school tuition has outpaced inflation at both public and private institutions. Our newest gift to The Johns Hopkins University ensures that the most talented aspiring doctors from all socioeconomic backgrounds can graduate debt-free from the The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. And to further address recent declines in U.S. life expectancy, our gift will increase financial aid for students from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
