Transitioning Into Hypnosis. Letting Positivity Shine Through!

Walgreens has been very successful in completely undermining the founder’s vision of a great company. Words are meaningless. Significantly positive actions that results in a phenomenal PROFESSIONAL work environment for everyone involved is the goal. With the closure of up to 25% of their stores, Walgreens, by NOT being transparent with their unsuccessful business model, will not ultimately succeed. Positivity is that community pharmacies can now expand and grow significantly enough to collaborate together! Then go after the true enemy, PBMs. Don’t worry about the chains. They are doing themselves in with greed. Examples are first Wrong Aid and now Sea of Green. Next up to the plate, batting for another strikeout is CVS. Pleasure to see you all now bow out to the crowd. Chains, you’re are not worthy of empathetic great associates nor that of patrionizing patients and customers.

I'm glad they explained that a turnaround is a change in direction. Saved me some time with the dictionary.

The CEO’s message indicates that Walgreens is facing financial difficulties and did not meet its earnings targets for the third quarter. The company is experiencing challenges due to external factors affecting their profitability. As a result, Walgreens is planning significant changes to its business model, focusing more on pharmacy and retail operations. Key points include: 1. Acknowledgment of Team Effort: The CEO appreciates the hard work and commitment of the employees. 2. Financial Challenges: Earnings fell short due to customer pressures and external factors impacting pharmacy margins. 3. Need for Change: The current business model is not working, prompting a shift in strategy. 4. Turnaround Plan: The company is in a turnaround phase, aiming to refocus on core areas like pharmacy and retail. 5. Investment and Simplification: Walgreens plans to generate additional cash to invest back into stores, simplify operations, and use its strong customer relationships to expand and grow. Overall, it means Walgreens is making strategic changes to improve financial performance and ensure future growth and stability.

PBMs have destroyed our profession. I wonder if all those Walgreens RPh are now ready to carry a torch and head to Capitol Hill?

1. Feel good, I want you to stay in your job. 2. We missed Wall Street expectations. 3. I can’t tell you this, but there’s only two ways to make up that revenue before the end of year Cut costs (people) or expand revenue. We’ve failed to expand revenue. We will be cutting jobs and asking you to more with less, but per item number 1, please don’t leave because we need you to keep our promises to the street.

I’d venture to say that better staffing with an emphasis on patient care, access and safety is not what the CEO has in mind. Get ready for a new round of metrics to meet and maximizing profits to keep shareholders happy. The retail pharmacy model they are pushing is broken. My prediction here is less staffing, more central verification, and closing of “underperforming” stores.

I mean, there's only so long you can get a free ride on everyone else's backs before the backs start to give out. Freeloaders. This country's economy is being decimated by freeloaders. Only they're not who we've always been told they are. They don't collect welfare checks and immigrate illegally from other countries, they wear nice clothes and smile at you as they simultaneously pick your pocket and slide a knife into your side. The Jack Welches of this world are the root cause of all of the economic crises we currently face. Make no mistake. I'm worried that the next depression is right around the corner.

And so they have a relationship with the customer?! And so they are going to use that relationship to EXPAND! Expand the current model that doesn’t work?!

“Were screwed. PBMS are more powerful than I imagined as CEO. Retail pharmacy is necessary, but we are no long equipped to succeed thanks to the practices of my former organization.” “Times will be tough ahead, but via prescriber status and other unknown methods at this time, we will not go down without a fight.” “I know we dont have a great reputation, and the news is confusing for many of you, but please help me save this company.” I act like I don’t need you, but at the heart of it, you are the key to our patients and our future. - At the end of the day - look around, this is capitalism. Don’t you dare question it or you might be a “socialist.”
