How do you drive the mindless pursuit of excellence? You don’t let the past - even your successful past - become a burden. It might be fun to bask in the glory in the moment, but too much mindfulness creates heaviness for the future, and impedes progress. If we at Rubrik, for example, spend too much time being mindful of our IPO, we’ll be imposing the burden of our success on our potential. We have to instead be mindless. We have to forget the past, and project ourselves relentlessly forward. Future growth starts from a peaceful present - and a forgotten past.

3 tips for first time founders that no one will tell you. 1. Don't buy into the myth about unicorns. 2. Focus on profitability and growth. 3. Getting to product-market fit is the most important part of your journey, so don’t be afraid to pivot if you need to when the evidence tell you you should. What would you add?

This is what growth looks like. It's not flashy, or complicated. Just a girl, a laptop, a shedload of coffee and a notebook. After months of building and rebuilding the jigsaw that is my vision for my business, I unlocked something last week and worked solidly over the weekend on the next phase of my growth. Today is all about getting into the nuts and bolts of how I'm going to achieve it. Making a plan. This is not actually something that I'm naturally pre-disposed to. I'm more of a seat-of-my-pants, wing-it kind of doer. But sh*t is getting real now and what got me here won't get me there. I can't afford to skip steps anymore (however much I like to skip). This afternoon the big paper and coloured pens are coming out. That's when you know it's serious! This week I'm going to be announcing some exciting updates. So keep following for those. I was told last week that there's not enough of ME on my profile so expect to see more of my face coming at ya!! (Obviously not in this post though.) Also, look at the sunshine!
