Our Bayer | Consumer Health team in Saudi Arabia, led by Maged ElShazly, with invaluable support of Maryam Mazouz & Amr semary has launched the "Protect Your Heart” campaign - first launched earlier this year in Egypt - to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease prevention and management. Lasting three years, the campaign is part of Bayer’s commitment to provide health access to people in underserved communities by focusing on public hospitals, which is in line with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 for the health care sector. As part of this, Bayer will support screening services for heart health for 1 million citizens who might be at risk to develop cardiovascular diseases because of the underlying risk factors such as smoking, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol - all of which are risk factors related to lower income, as we learned in our Research Initiative for Self-Care Equity (RISE).
Our Research Initiative for Self-Care Equity helps us to better serve our consumers by identifying the social, economic, environmental and other risk factors that underlie health impacts around the world. This research is helping us expand access to everyday health for 100 million people per year in underserved communities.
A special consideration to the EMEA Sustainability reach team Stefan Meyer, Mohamed Galal, Erdem Kumcu, Michael Meewes, Yazan Alahmad, Gamal Khallaf, Olga Bakashina & Caroline Meledo. #TeamBayer #HealthForAll #HungerForNone
