"The message Jesus proclaimed was a call to discipleship—not to faith alone but to faith and obedience. … Obedience is evidence of the reality of our repentance and faith. Our obedience does not achieve salvation, but it is evidence of it." —J. Oswald Sanders Discover three indispensable conditions for true discipleship:

WHAT DISCIPLESHIP MEANS AT THE CORE. 1. Loving God means obeying His commandments. Jesus clearly stated that the first commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart and soul (Mark 12:30-31). The Great Commission is not a great suggestion but a command to all believers. 2. Loving people means having compassion for their souls. Often, to love somebody, we have to deny ourselves. The ultimate goal is not necessarily to get more people into church but to love them and get them into Christ. 3. Winning souls and making disciples is part of spiritual growth. This is the natural process of growth: You’re Born (Hospital). You Belong (Home). You Build (School). You Become (Adults). Growing up is hard but part of natural and spiritual maturity. 4. Winning souls and making disciples is being faithful with what we were given (Matthew 25:16, 22). 5. We are given the power of the Holy Spirit to conquer the world for Jesus. It’s about us winning souls and living our Christian lives outside of the church, not just being good citizens for the sake of it (Acts 1:8). #SOULWINNING #DISCIPLESHIP #GREATCOMMISSION #WINNINGSOULS

Discipleship is all about learning from teachings, character, lifestyle and modeling someone great. Christians, we are disciples of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To be a great disciples, there are 5 important aspects of it. Which are; .1. Learning The most vital aspect of Disciple is being a student. Learning from Christ. It entails studying Christ's word, character and modeling it. 2. Self- denial. Luke 9:23-27. Discipleship involved putting self-ambitions and putting Christ first. Setting Him as first priority. 3.Obedience to Christ John 8:31-32 True disciple is obedient to Christ's word. Abides and does it. 4. Imitating Christ. Discipleship involves modeling Christ. Loving like He did, forgiving like He did, caring for others, praying etc. Believers auto to be imitators of Christ. 5.Teaching others. GOD'S KINGDOM DAILY DEVOTIONAL (ADULT). 3rd Sunday in the year 2024. Date:21st January, 2024. Topic:What Must Be Taught to various Groups BIBLE PASSAGE :Titus 2:1-15 MESSAGE! As we gather in the house of God today sunday, we must recognize that it is not just a place of worship, but also a school where knowledge, virtue, and life-changing programs are carefully organized and implemented according to divine prescriptions. In Titus2:1-15, we are reminded of the responsibility to teach and admonish one another, regardless of age or status. This is one distinct character of father Abraham (for I know him that he will teach and command his household to observe this things). Even Jesus, the scripture says he both begin to do and to teach. The older men and women, the younger women, and the servants are all included in this call to instruction. It is not just the duty of the pastor or church leaders, but a responsibility for all believers. As we teach, we must also confirm the reality of our message through our own lifestyles. Our actions should speak louder than our words, for it is through our deeds that the truth of our message is revealed. The older women are especially encouraged to share their life testimony and experiences, showcasing the preciousness of the teachings they impart. They play a vital role in nurturing and guiding the younger generations, not just in words, but through their example. Church leaders are also reminded to build according to the divine pattern, ensuring that the teachings and admonitions are not outdated but relevant for today. It is a collective effort to create a community of faith that reflects the character of Christ. Let us all embrace this call to teach and admonish one another, recognizing that it is a shared responsibility to build a community that reflects the values and virtues of the Kingdom of God. May our lives be a testimony to the truth we proclaim, and may our actions align with the teachings we uphold. Be not like the believer of this Generation whose way of live is worst than unbelievers. DISCIPLESHIP 2. “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” (2 Tim 2:2, KJV). Yesterday we looked at the concept of discipleship as a process that starts with the discipler. He or she must be fully persuaded of What is to be passed to the disciples. Today we will like to add that unless one is truly yielded or fully surrendered to the Holy Spirit's,such a fellow cannot be a good discipler. A good discipler must be an alumni (that goes for daily Refreshers course) of the Holy Spirit's School of Discipleship where, "all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more."(2 Cor .3:18). The most important aspect of discipling a new convert is character study (allowing the convert to study you the Discipler). Letting the fellow see the word of God come alive or the Bible in live application. This,to me,is the essence of discipleship. The Bible talks about ,“... all that Jesus began both to do and teach,” (Act 1:1B, KJV) Christianity is a way of living. A person who is hiding or holding back areas of his or her life, cannot be transparent to those being discipled. The joy of Christianity is in its practicality: God demonstrates and sets an example, man follows. This aspect is so critical and vital because it involves practical living that leaves your life exposed for the truth or falsehood that it represents depending on how much of you is surrendered to the Spirit or under your control. This is the core of discipleship. Some examples are the case of Paul with Timothy(2 Tim 3:14); Barnabas with John Mark(Acts 15:37,39) Aquila and Priscilla with Apollos(Acts 18:26). Discipleship is supposed to be a " limbo limbo, limbo like me" (do as I do) not do as I say.

DAY 2 - Review of "DISCIPLESHIP OBEY" Obedience to teaching is the act of discipleship training & it is the calling for all believers. Many of us Christians think we are going to heaven because we have asked Jesus into our hearts. We jump at the stirring of our heart emotions, hot one moment & cold the next. Sensitive in the church & insensitive away from the church environment. But being a follower of Christ is a continuous relationship with him. His terms include repent & follow me. Today most Christians are not disciples, the very first use of the word Christians grew out of the word disciples. So you first be a disciple before being a Christian. Repent first then live the life. Many are pretending to have repented and learned the language but have no fruit to show, prove your repentance by your deeds Act 26:20. Repentance sounds like a confession of sin & looks like following Jesus, make sure you have both a sound and a look. True repentance starts with faith and faith in Jesus. we should do good works, good enough for a holy God to call them good & give a reward for them Eph 2:20. I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life John 8:12.

One scripture verse keeps Believers going when faith grows thin… "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." -Matthew 6:33 You can quote it by heart, and yet when asked what it means to seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness, you will get 100 different answers from 100 different people. I believe we as Christians do good things in the world. That should definitely count for something. But how do we know that the good things we are doing are actually seeking the Kingdom? What about this one: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." -Romans 8:28 Again, often referred to, and misquoted just as often. I’ve heard and even said, myself, “...all things work together for good…” many times, but that is taken out of context. There are some qualifications to all things working together for good: “…to them that love God”, “...to them who are the called…” “...according to His purpose.” It’s easy to believe that all things are working together for good. It takes the pressure off and provides a means of hope that inspires us when we feel helpless. But without knowing His purpose, without knowing what we are called to, and how best to love God, we can’t really know if we are meeting the qualifications that are necessary for all things to work together for our good. Thankfully, we have the Holy Spirit with us. We have the gift of inspiration. We can receive personal revelation to know the mind and will of God. Without that Divine connection, we cannot know if the good things we are choosing to do are actually God’s purpose. If we don’t know God, we cannot know if we are in line with His righteousness. We cannot love whom we do not know. Many of us feel called, driven to share a message or to unfold a portion of His mysteries. We call this our purpose. But this scripture calls it God’s purpose. We are fulfilling God’s purpose when we share that message... Read the full blog post here: https://lnkd.in/g4JjBwgh

DISCIPLESHIP . 1 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Act 1:8, KJV). If you were asked to mention the name of Jesus' first disciple, you are likely to say Peter, Andrew or one of the others. But Jesus was His own very first disciple. Before you start having disciples, you yourself must have beeen fully persuaded or convinced of what you intended to teach others. The Bible says, “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;” (2 Tim 3:14, KJV). The word discipling or what is better known as discipleship describes the process through which a young/new convert is nurtured(fed with the word of God,supported and encouraged in the things of the Spirit) until such a fellow is established in the faith. In other words, discipleship is the act of being actively engaged in following up with a new convert until he or she is rooted and established enough in the faith to undertake the burden of having a convert of his or her own. Some examples are the case of Paul with Timothy(2 Tim 3:14); Barnabas with John Mark(Acts 15:37,39) Aquila and Priscilla with Apollos(Acts 18:26). The most important aspect of discipling a new convert is character study (allowing the convert to study you the Discipler). Have you ever tried to discern God’s will for your life? Ever prayed to know what plans God has for you, or sought divine guidance in your decisions? There is nothing more important for a Christian than to seek God’s will. Fortunately, God has already told us much of what he desires us to do. In Matthew 28:18-19, the words Jesus tells his disciples , frequently known as the Great Commission, help us confidently know God’s will for our lives: To make disciples of the people around us. Trusting in man instead of studying for yourself can bring you a curse instead of a blessing. Jeremiah 17:5, 7 5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. Don't trust your eternal life and your family's eternal life with a man. Study for yourself. A new nationwide survey of America's Christian pastors shows that a majority of pastors lack a biblical worldview. In fact, just slightly more than a third (37%) possess a biblical worldview and the majority—62%—hold a hybrid worldview known as Syncretism. The Bible predicted this would happen in the last days. "For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires."(2Tim 4:3) (2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.) 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. Study for yourself and ask God for His Holy Spirit to show you truth.(John 7:17, John17:17) And the courage to follow it. (1 Cor 2:14) Source: (https://lnkd.in/geSGQjsK)

2 Kings 3:10-12 Discipleship Key: Declarations from God In this story, Jehoshaphat was searching for the Word of the Lord, and a servant of the king declared, "Elisha is here!" He had a reputation for speaking the word of the Lord, and as a result, people knew what to do. Discipleship is instructing people to maturity in the way they should go according to the Word of the Lord. The goal is to speak and teach in a way that stirs faith, engages the spirit, and equips for next steps. Disciple by declaring the Word. The Great Commission is to get the lost saved, and once they become new creatures in Christ, they must be taught how to live. The Bible is instruction for daily living.

1wReally being a Disciple is a great responsibility. God gives us the support. The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build. Neh. 2: 20
