Yesterday the SPG Innovation Ltd team were discussing our Innovate UK novel low emissions food production systems project. The main topic of discussion was the texture of plant based foods and understanding the different techniques we can employ to alter texture. The key questions was what are consumers, manufacturers and food services really looking for with regards texture of plant based foods. We hear loads of feedback that taste and texture in the plant based sector is restricting growth but what does this mean to you? and what can we do to change this?
