BR launched a new BRunch & Learn series last Tuesday with guest speakers from The BrandLab taking us through a workshop from their Fearless Series – Words Matter: Intent vs Impact. Michaela Clubb, Amy Brown and Kayla Pollard revealed how unconscious bias can impact our thinking and communication in ways we may not realize. We learned to sit in the uncomfortable and do the hard work, in order to help build our capacity to be uncomfortable. Our president, Kelli Anstine, summed the session up nicely – “You all have a fearless commitment. We have a Be Real commitment. Both are really about holding each other accountable in all of our communications – texts, emails, teams chats and recognizing that tone matters and when communication should be in person. I would encourage us all to be fearless with each other. Today we celebrated an incredible cause! 💚 BR had the honor of attending The Children's Place Gratitude Bruncheon, an annual event that celebrates the passionate community dedicated to helping restore childhood for those affected by trauma. Our history with The Children’s Place goes back to the very beginning, when Bob Bernstein became one of the founding members of this much-needed organization. Since then, The Children's Place has been a beacon of hope and healing, providing vital mental health support to over 400 children and families this year alone.
