This is self-promotion post, shared on *LinkedIn*, in which I'm trying to get my "professional network" to click on link to about how corporate procurement teams could better negotiate contracts for enterprise IT middleware, so that more people will subscribe to my blog - which has become my primary occupation - in which I regularly discuss topics such as, "What does the introduction of new data storage formats mean for cloud infrastructure budgets?" and, "How precisely should mid-market buyers define business intelligence applications?" Good god y'all, I have truly hit rock bottom. https://lnkd.in/eGFFBXJr
For what it’s worth, I never imagined I would enjoy reading a blog with articles about "what does the introduction of new data storage formats mean for cloud infrastructure budgets?" or "How precisely should mid-market buyers define business intelligence applications?", and yet, here we are… please keep them coming!
Its only up from here for you.
Well, you've got a professional network, and people who respect your writing, and thinking, enough to pay for it, and enough readers to consider it a primary occupation. To me, it seems like there's way more going right than going wrong for you, but there is no prison like our own mind and it would be insulting to suggest that anyone is deliberately moving their own goalposts just to spite themselves. It seems unlikely that what you write is actually all that relevant to my "career" (or whatever this is) but I really enjoy your writing and appreciate you sharing it.
How do you think about balancing the need to becoming a better carpenter (with one tool) versus needing additional tooling on top for more domain specific use cases (e.g. finance, security, etc.)?
Just commented for reach ... anything Benn writes is worth reading :)
