The best employment contract in American history was the Bobby Bonilla bonanza with the New York Mets MLB baseball team.  On December 9, 2023, the best employment contract in American history is the Shohei Ohtani intergalactic, out-of-this-world, super duper extravaganza with the Los Angeles Dodgers MLB baseball team. Astronomical deal!!!  All MLB records before 1969 need asterisks. In 1969, MLB expanded the post-season into a tournament. While team expansion west & north and integration began before 1969, the skill level improved because of playoff expansion. Teams needed better players. Ohtani is a history-maker.  #ShoheiOhtani is the best baseball player in history so far. Babe Ruth is overrated. Every MLB record & statistic before 1969 needs an asterisk. In 1969, MLB expanded the post-season into a real playoff tournament. Since then, the caliber of players exponentially improved.
