It is a busy time for BeneLynk as we collect charts from VA facilities throughout the country to deliver to our Medicare Advantage partners. This week, James Tongate was fortunate enough to meet with Latricia Beverly who serves as a Release of Information Supervisor, to talk about our efforts and how we can best serve veterans together. But where? Here's your hint, this VA facility is located in the same city as the Airborne and Special Operations Museum. #WhereIsJames?

A timely evaluation of the intersection of peer support and psychedelic therapy. The new defense bill allocates funding to provide more treatment options for those that serve in the military, specifically for promising psychedelic therapies coming through the pipeline. And, various states are looking towards creating medical programs for psychedelic therapy that will need to factor in community and cultural components to how people prefer to be supported during their healing process. https://lnkd.in/gxjXBSjq "This existing Veteran-centred psychedelic peer-support model could contribute valuable knowledge and experience to potentially implementing psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy within the VA or in community settings where psychedelic services are becoming legal in various jurisdictions in North America. Further research into existing psychedelic peer-support practices, as well as researching novel models that integrate peer support into psychedelic facilitation and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, can help address ongoing issues with access and equity in the psychedelic space."

DVA has released a survey open to all veterans, war widows, carers, and anyone who has engaged with DVA Services. This survey provides a platform for sharing all forms of feedback. DVA cannot create change without data/research SO let’s provide that feedback. What have they done well? What have they done not so well? Which arenas could definitely be improved - and how? As a Veteran GP Specialist, I see every day the good, the bad and the ugly - and more importantly, the impact for Veterans, families and clinicians trying to assist! We cannot create change which results in action without our own few moments of action from ourselves. I cannot encourage you all enough to ensure YOUR voice is heard - NOW! We can only drive the change if WE are engaged and speak of the realities at the coalface. Click here to conduct the survey: https://bit.ly/4e9u8Dn

Happy Veteran's Day! Today, we honor those who sacrificed and served. As a justice agency, we also want to acknowledge the intersectionality of #trauma, the #justice system, and the impact that both have on #veterans. The article below explores veterans, trauma, and the justice system. https://lnkd.in/gjd4Kmbt

When building habits, choose consistency over content. The best book is the one you can’t put down. The best exercise is the one you enjoy doing every day. The best health food is the one you find tasty. The best work is the work you’d do for free. (Another beautiful quote by Naval)

Partners disappoint. Customers delay. Growth stalls. Passions fade. The winners of any game are the people who are so addicted, that they continue playing even as the marginal utility from winning declines. (Naval) Illustration credits- my lovely team at Unfinance #consistency #viral #growth

We at Black Rifle Coffee believe Veteran’s Day is a celebration. As we approach November 11th we want to start recognizing what Veteran’s Day means to us and to those who serve. For BRCC, Veteran’s Day is a celebration of service members past and present who made the decision to serve their community and their nation. It’s an appreciation and recognition of family members who endured deployments as well as the uncertainty and discomfort of military life. It’s remembering those who fought our nation’s toughest battles, often receiving life altering injuries that they bare for the rest of their lives. It’s a celebration of those who find life after the military, in business, in philanthropy or in retirement. Black Rifle Coffee began when a group of Veteran’s joined forces to create something unique. For us, Veteran’s Day isn’t just a celebration of Veterans, it’s a celebration of who we are.

Doheny Promo is a combat veteran-owned company, which gives us a unique and deeply personal understanding of the sacrifices made by those in uniform and the families and caregivers who stand beside them. When a servicemember is away, the impact resonates through their entire circle, often leaving family members to navigate a multitude of challenges on their own—be it emotional, financial, or logistical. In many ways, they're the backbone that allows service members to do their job with the peace of mind of knowing loved ones are holding down the fort at home. They often find themselves in roles they didn't necessarily "sign up for," yet embrace these responsibilities wholeheartedly. They become the unsung heroes—embodying resilience, strength, and a level of support that is often unseen but critical. Acknowledging this form of service, which doesn't come with medals or parades, is appropriate and essential. By actively supporting National Veterans and Military Family Month, Doheny Promo aligns itself with a mission deeply ingrained in the fabric of the military community. It's not just about a calendar event; it's a recognition that reverberates throughout the year. It’s a statement that you get it; you’ve lived it, and you understand all too well the complex tapestry of sacrifices made by families and service members alike. It's not merely about a hashtag or a social media post; it's about a lived experience we have with so many others. And it's about standing up to say, "We see you, we honor you, and we understand the sacrifices you make because we’ve been there too." Let's continue championing these efforts, ensuring that the commitment and sacrifices made by families, caregivers, and survivors are neither overlooked nor forgotten. Through authentic recognition and support, we can collectively Stand Out. BE SEEN. But most importantly, we contribute to a larger conversation that honors those who give so much of themselves for the sake of our national security and freedom. #MilitaryFamilyMonth | #MilitaryFamilyAppreciation
